Moved to a place with a gas stove with metal grates over burners. Microwave next to it doesn't have enough counter space to put things down after heating. This metal sheet gives a place to put a plate down to put something else in the micro. Works fine. It's a littlr thin and flexible, but resting on the burners it's fine. (A note of caution: it has a rubbery nonskid back, so accidentally lighting a burner with this in place would not be a good thing.)

Would buy again.

LOL...just have problems with shipping, as the aluminum sheet...is simply too soft to withstand pressure by sending it in a box 95%plus empty box...it was severly bent out of shape..into three folds .~~ i received it. but then it is so soft that I just fixed it with hammering the bent edges and made it functional again. cosmetic damage does not bother me as long as the design serves my functions.....at any rate..it is great for putting it under my shelf as it makes it easy for me to slip and slide it easily. ~~much easier than using the plastic furniture gliders..."simply great slippery gliders..."

It's important toprotect the countertops in the kitchen. I have used these before and highly recommend them.

Arrived in perfect shape. Bought to replace an older, similar, mat after installing new granite countertops. This one is much nicer than my old one with the non-stick pad that keeps this one from sliding on the new countertop.

The packaging was inadequate, the product had nothing to protect it. It is so bent the beauty is gone. If it were straight it would be functional & pleasant to look at, now it is just functional, too bad, for a little protection it would be an attractive addition to your home.

I like these, this is my third one. I use every evening, to seat hot finished dinner selections on my countertop, and they serve me very well. Only gripes are that they can get ragged looking after a while, when the plastic coating starts to go the metal will begin to rust in spots. Also the edges bend easily, so can scratch the surface they are sitting on. Result is I am learning to take a little more care with these. Keep them dried off, avoid letting any moisture sit on them. Don't scrub them off, but wipe them clean more gently to protect that plastic coating longer, and Keep the edges straight which is easy to do with fingers. I do recommend, because with a modicum of care they last a Long time and do a great job.
