awesome floats for the UMX Timber X. easy to install. easy to fly.

They work great now. But the receivers on the plane are too narrow for either of the struts that come in the float package. The front front strut that comes with the UMX turbo timber evo does fit the front. Because the front strut that came with the plane fit and screws in, it provides enough stability that I was able to tape the rear strut on and it works great.

I have been flying a little UMX Turbo Timber for a while. It's great to introduce non RC people to flying, without being overly expensive or hard to transport. Our RC Club has 2 annual Charity Float Flys, and I didn't have a float plane. I bought this float kit, and assembled it to my Turbo Timber. I had to create a way to hold the aft float spreader wire to the fuselage, because the spreader wire tab doesn't fit into the Turbo Timber slot. Further, the shape of the wires made the intended hold downs unuseable on the Turbo Timber. My addition is 1/16 ply, coated in thin CA to keep it from dissolving in the lake. It seems solid, but only contact with water will tell the tale.

Fit the UMX Timber well. The plane flys well with them on and now lands and takes off well from water. I’d buy again.

Do not buy this product!!! The screws do not fit into the holes and the product fell apart.

I bought these for my UMX Turbo Timber. The description says they works for a Carbon Cub, which I assume is accurate. The front mount fits the Timber but rear mount required some bending. I was still not able to get the straps over the wire for the rear mount but held in place fine and worked great! Like others said, if the plane flips and gets wet, it will stop working. But I let it dry over night and seems fine. Under normal use, the plane did not get wet enough to damage anything.

These floats do not fit the turbo timber correctly. Even though these are the correct ones according to e-flight. The rear mount will not fit the plane. After cutting a custom bracket out of a lid we got the floats to work.

I had a hard time getting the connection points to stay together could be a lot better design. But used some epoxy and that fixed that. Now since there is steering control on the floats do need some speed to turn the plane in the water
