Great dividing border between grass and path
If you've suffered using green crinkly edging you'll know how bad it can be - so this is a dream! It's only 2mm thick but, if you take your time and lay it into the ground you can get an almost perfect edge to create a border - when I was looking to buy, I saw that other purchasers had used it as a raised edge and, therefore, I think were getting wobbly results.I needed mine to lay between a tarmac drive, grass lawn and flower border but in an area when there were lots of tree roots so I couldn't go very deep - the height of the edging was too much for my needs so I cut it in two (sharp knife then bending back along the score) and turned the 25m into 50m!I also cemented it between the tarmac and grass so it gave me a hard edge to fill the drive with cold lay tarmac (see pics) where the grass and tree roots had nibbled away the original tarmac edge

OK - but overpriced.
The product seems sturdy enough - I used the 2mm thick version - so hopefully it will last a long time, perhaps even the 20 years claimed. I found it was fairly easy to use as a border edging, separating a path and flower bed. I also used it around a lawn area that had been trimmed to a new shape. It bends around curved sections quite easily, it just needs securing in place every few feet as you work along the length to be done. One negative point I noticed was, that I laid it in cool weather and when the sun came out it made the strip expand and buckle in places. Maybe it needs to be laid in shorter overlapping sections to avoid this happening? The products instructions don't mention this occurring. The price charged - at about a £1+ per foot - makes it expensive. I would use it again - if it cost less to purchase.

Expensive but seems very good quality, so worth it.
The edging appears to be very good quality. It is much more expensive than the normal fluted style plastic edging but it feels like it will last much much better. It is much thicker than the usual plastic edging you see and has some flexibility (not excessively so) which I think will add to the durability - the cheaper edging is always very brittle. I got 10m of 5" deep edging. I wanted it to edge a gravel area and separate it from the flower beds. I wanted the edging to tuck discretely behind some decorative edging (logs and boulders which failed to keep soil out of the gravel). The edging is doing the job well, holding back soil and not spoiling the look of the decorative border. I like that it is a recycled and recyclable product. Only time will tell if it will last 20years. If it does I'll give it 5 stars.

Very useful material
I have used this material for something totally different to what it was intended for!The ridge on my 2 greenhouses have been leaking for a couple of years, particularly badly during the winter months. I have cut the material (easy with a sharp knife) to the length of each ridge and screwed into place at each end. It has fixed the problem immediately and tested recently with the heavy thunderstorms. I have only given 4 stars as users need to be aware that the material expands by at least 10% during very warm weather, but does contract when the temperatures drop.

Costly, but quality.
Strewth, it's expensive, but to find something permanent and suitable for creating a curved garden path is a hard task. I didn't want any of that corrugated green rubbish or ghastly log roll so I've only got myself to blame. This stuff takes some fitting, you need to dig a very long thin ditch and then get a helper to roll the edging out whilst you push it into the ditch - water helps. There are probably better methods, but there are probably better gardeners as well.

great lawn edging
This lawn edging is great for the money, i bought the thicker one which does not get damaged by the strimmer, i think the thiner one would be a bit flimsy, but it depends on what you want it for. After laying the first couple of foot, i got the hang of it, and its best to let it do a natural curve, rather than trying to force it into the curve i had cut out in my border, so once i got the hang of it, it was really simple and straight forward, and makes really neat edges, until the edging settles in over time, it does tend to move a bit if you tread on it. lawn edging is really expensive, and although this was not really cheap it is a good alternative to the metal edging. So all in all was very pleased with it, and would recommend giving it a go

Does what I wanted
Does what I wanted - provides a lawn edge around curved borders. As it says in the instructions, you do need to ensure the soil it sits on is flat or at least very soft otherwise you get ripples in it. Not sure what the recommended method of cutting it is, I used a junior hack saw.
