Reusable Shopping Bags Stay Open Premium Wipe Clean Laminated Totes XL

I was going to buy 10 much cheaper various colored bags, until I saw these. We love these and have only used them 2 trips for our weekly big grocery shop. Yes, they are more expensive, but WOW, the quality is so worth it and size. They are very sturdy and seem to be durable. Love the blue color and got 2 sets (4 bags). The handles are extra long and don't appear they will rip. The hubby and I got asked 3 times by different folks up front of our grocery store where we got them, and loved them also. I just am not a fan of the flimsy ones that are very inexpensive, and wanted some better quality, without spending a fortune. I am planning on buying another set for keeping my dog training toys/treats etc in, and one for my barn for various horse stuff. They just are a good size (larger than the standard grocery bag, or tote), and now I want them everywhere. We loaded 4, 4 packs of Perrier water in one, with no trouble, and some room on top for a few lighter items, if that gives one an idea of the sturdiness and size. Also, I found out this company is a "mom owned" business, so definitely love knowing I'm supporting a small business owner, who cares about her products. I feel confident if I have any strange problems, I can contact her via Amazon, and work something out. So, I'll place my order for more and hope this helps.

I've only had these for about a week and have only used them on two shopping trips, so I really can't comment on use over time. These are definitely pretty bags and they can hold quite a bit. They are a good size. They are fairly easy to fold flat and store. They are a bit of a pain to keep open at times, as they always seem to want to close, but they do stand up on their own, which is nice. I haven't had any problems with ripping or holes yet, but I do see how that could happen. The quality of these bags is just okay, not what I was expecting for the price.Update 3/14/17- I'm updating my review to 5 stars because I've used these bags quite a bit now. They've done an excellent job. Whenever we go to the checkout line my husband always says that all of the items won't fit in the bag, but they always do. Sometimes the bag is a bit too heavy for me to carry because we can load so much stuff into it. I use these at least 3 times a week. I've filled them to capacity. Sometimes I'm worried that they will break but so far they have held strong. I just got back from Walgreens and easily fit 4 boxes of cereal, 4 boxes of tissues, and 1 big bottle of mouthwash in the bag. I love that they fold flat and it's super quick and easy to fold and unfold them. Cashiers comment on them practically every time I use them. They appreciate that the bags stay open and upright. It makes loading them up so quick and easy. They stay open easier now than when I first bought them. Yes, the bags are a bit pricey and more than I would normally pay but they are worth it. If they broke tomorrow I would be disappointed, but I would know that I had gotten my money out of them.

I have tried other, more compact bags which roll up and fit easily in a purse, but I was finding that the grocery store staff didn't know how to bag well with my existing floppy thin bags and some of my groceries were getting squished. I had very specific requirements for my new bags. (1) They needed to fold flat to store easily in my car--->These fold flat very easily, but they don't bend in half well. For me it is not a big deal because they fit perfectly in my car trunk organizer standing up, but you should be aware of it if you cannot store them at full height. (2) They had to be able to stand open on their own when open-->These quickly and easily stand up on their own when opened. They come with an extra support piece for the bottom, but they stand up well without it too and the grocery store bagger easily managed to use them without the extra piece inserted. I plan to just leave the extra inserts at home as they seem like they will just get in the way. (3) They had to be able to withstand extra heavy items. ---> Since they are a nice large size and I buy a lot of heavy cans and such I wanted them to hold up well to the extra weight. The handle material is a thick woven cloth which extends down the sides and under the bag as well. Very well designed to support a lot of heavy items. The plastic of the bag itself is pretty thick and would be very difficult to rip or tear.On my very first grocery store check out using these bags the grocery store bagger commented on how great they were and how easy they were to use. None of my items were crushed, bruised or broken so I consider them a success! In addition, it was supper easy to bring everything in from the car since each bag held so much I could bring them inside in just one trip.I am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended!

When CA passed the law that plastic bags were no longer available I was not happy. I had several reusable bags to use but they were always so flimsy I felt they could break with some of the heavy groceries items I would buy. I decided to invest in these bags. I couldn't be happier. They have a coating so any leaking items won't stain the bag and can be easily wiped down to decrease the possibility of bacteria. Even when they have been filled with heavy items I no longer feel like the handle will break. Even though they are a bit more expensive than I would prefer, they say you get what you pay for and these bags are definitely worth it!

I really like these bags. They are strong, stylish, the perfect size, easy to clean, and very functional. For a perfect, 5-star rating, I would like to see more rigidity in the bottom...just a thin, hard plastic bottom that can be flipped up (and remain inside the bag) when the bag folds flat for storage. Make no mistake, though, these bags are strong. I just would like something that would keep the bag FLAT on the bottom when loaded, especially, when the weight isn't balanced properly by well-meaning cashiers.After my initial purchase of two bags to try them out, I did purchase four more. I will look for some rigid plastic for the bottom of each bag myself, so that I will have the perfect bag.
