Easy as pie!
Every two years I have to buy new batteries for my RV. We leave it plugged in all summer because the fridge stays packed. The batteries just go to pot with the old Magnetek 6332 converter/charge system. I decided no more of that.I was delighted to find the newer replacement converter/charger with the batteryminder built right in requiring no additional parts and still using the original housing and breaker panel. The retrofit went very well. The mounting tabs on the new unit were very slightly dinged but it was easy to bend back to position. The wiring is easy and straightforward. The unit is noiseless when on, no hum at all, very nice. On the fuse board are LED lights to tell you quickly which 12 V fuse is bad. There is a button on the fuse board to manually change settings, mostly for checking out the system. Once the batteries are charged it goes into "storage mode". Every 21 hours the charger kicks in high for a few minutes to prevent sulfidation. IF both of my batteries are new I should be able to go 5-7 days on 12 volt power with no problem. The old system would ruin batteries, after 2 seasons you would be lucky to go 2 days.It well may be 2-3 years till I know how well this charger takes care of batteries, but it's got to be better than the old style analog electromagnetic design! I am optimistic! I will update this review down the road.UPDATE: October, 2018.It's been 2 1/2 years or three summers use since I installed the new converter. I'm still on the same batteries and they still hold a good charge. We like to "boondock" camp, mostly because we can in Alaska. With lights and heater running, I haven't had a dead battery yet. I feel like I could now invest in a good pair of 6 volt batteries and not worry about the expense of frying them!Well done.Update May, 2020; I still have the same batteries installed, they are now five years old and still hold a good charge. The battery life alone pays for this charger.

Straight forward install and american made
When the outdated inverter went out on my 1995 shadow cruiser RV I was surfing the interned when I came open this one in which the price was reasonable and just so happend to be the one I needed, in the didcription ot does say a few models it's good for but the model I have isn't in the description which Is a Magnetek power plus 6300. but everything fell into place when i started the install, it all works perfect!

Great replacement
When I swapped to LiPo batteries, I needed this upgrade. Dropped right in and worked as expected. Even the 12v panel was easy to install with instructions. Jumper could be more obvious but it works since you only need to set it once and forget about it.

Excellent upgrade!
I ordered this unit to replace a dying parallax converter, and the difference is night and day. Even with how the parallax was before it died, this unit is miles ahead. My batteries charge faster and deeper, and no more buzzing, humming, and flickering when I really load the 12 volt system. Absolutely worth every penny and it was a perfect fit, easy install. I also can now update from the old lead acids and run lithium batteries which I am very excited for.

Significant improvement over the original 1992 system, some concern about the charge rate.
First of all, this DOES come with the PCB that is the power distribution board.I have had this unit installed for about 4 or 5 months now. I used this to update the charger in our 1992 Ford Econoline van with a Turtle Top RV conversion. The exchange with the old unit was an exact fit. It was perfect. The directions are "mostly" complete. There are several different outputs on the power distribution board that are "offset" from the others a little bit. I had to do a fair bit of searching on the internet to verify what/why that is. A bit more details on the PCB in the instructions would be helpful. (Since the unit is not in front of me, I don't want to state what those were for because I don't want to get it wrong from my memory. Sorry.)The unit is VERY quiet. That was a huge deal for me. In fact, the fan has kicked on only a few times and then only when it is hot outside, the battery is significantly depleted, and we are running other loads on the system. Even when the fan is on, you have to be quiet to hear it. I love this feature. The unit is VERY efficient, also a huge deal for me. The original unit put out a lot of waste heat. I use my RV van mostly in the summer and extra heat is unwelcome. The main reason I rated this at four stars rather than five is the charge cycle. When you first plug in, the unit goes into fast charge mode while evaluating the battery. That's just fine. What I don't like is that it stays in fast charge for a much longer time than I'm comfortable with. Even when the battery is fully topped off it will stay in fast charge mode for over half an hour, sometimes for over an hour. I would prefer that it do that to my battery for only a few minutes. I have no evidence that this is a problem, but it sure is disturbing to watch while wondering when it is going to throttle back.Bottom line: I would buy this unit again in a heartbeat and would happily recommend it to a friend. I'll know in a few years what is up with the battery life and the "over charging" that I wonder about. For now, I'm just going to trust the designers while being happy with this purchase.

I bought one January 31st 2020 and it stopped working today 6/5/2020. What should I do?
I had an RV dealer / repair place install it for me back in February. It worked fine but camper was never plugged into power until today, to charge low batteries. After 4 hours of charging, I unplugged it and green light inside was off. All interior electric is off. After this, I used a battery charger to charge up each battery seperately. They were at 1% when I started and I've got them up to 80%. Still no power in camper. I checked all fuses and all were ok. Flipped breakers. ??? It may have been the batteries. I ordered brand new AGM deep cycle batteries. I will update once I receive them and hook them up. Perhaps green light will return and all will be well, either way I'll let you know and update this review. Update: installer did a sloppy wiring job that I had another RV dealership fix. Unit is working fine again.
