Not strong at all.
This is not any stronger than the standard retractable badge mount I use for my ID card at work. It’s just huge and mounts to a surface instead of hangs from a pocket clip.

Not for me…..
Way to big and bulky to be mounting on my kayak. Need to be redesigned and made smaller. I’ll be giving it away to someone who wants it .
