Worked perfectly fine for me
This dual valve kit fit my 20 year old whirlpool refrigerator perfectly, and it works just fine. I had a leak that started to flood my laminate flooring behind the refrigerator. Thank goodness that I have drop ceiling installed in my basement , so I was able to temporarily move it out the way to easily trace the leak through the water line tubing. It was visually obvious that this leak was dripping rapidly and getting some of my floor boards wet while damaging underneath my laminate floor. Did tons of research, many so called experts pointed to the dual valve that may have a bad solenoid on it. So not only did i pull up some of the extra tubing through the hole where the tubing was installed and cut it with a sharp razor behind the area that was punctured. I installed the new valve and some new tubing as well that I purchased at home depot. The valve is much more quiet than the original one, and there are no more leaks. The hardest part for me was threading the metal compression nozzles to the tubing. You have to do this part perfectly and cut the new tubing perfectly straight or it will continue to leak. Remember the water dispenser & ice maker is working with a water pressure of 30-120 psi , so take plenty of HD pictures of the old connections before installing the new parts. Looking at the old parts and the HD images showed me that i was threading the tubing under the compression connector instead of threading it over the connector. It was a learning experience but with a few tedious hours and putting our glasses on, my wife & I figured it out. If your tubing keeps popping off within a few seconds, then there is a 99.9% chance the water pressure is knocking the tubing off because it is not properly threaded.. The price of this valve was $60 less than Sears parts online, and it looks exactly like the original one (just alot cleaner) and it works great!!

Worked perfectly on install
Appears to be very common for this part to go out on older (see: early 2000s) model Whirlpool refrigerators. Very glad Edgewater has their "third party" version as OEM can easily be 3x the price offered here. Installation was a piece of cake. All the old fittings are still in excellent shape so we have no need to replace them with those included... But I am super pleased to see all the included fittings, nonetheless. Just really frees up the user to do what they need. Great value for thw money. Will be back to edit within a year. See how things are still going.

Fixed a vintage kitchen aid side by side
Installed on a vintage kitchen aid side by side in the house my sister is renting. Fridge was not connected to water, I tried to connect it but Ice maker and water dispenser was not getting water. I found the old valves were trying to open but wouldn’t let water flow. This valve assembly was as close to the original as I could find and fit with a bit of southern ingenuity. Ice maker and water dispenser is working now. Fridge didn’t have a built in filter so I installed one inline with the water supply.

Works great with Kenmore Coldspot!
I'm no profressional by any means, just a first time home buyer and I was able to self diagnose the problem my fridge was having (it was leaking from this identical part and overflowing the drip tray - the force of water was also causing leaks in other places too though). Anywho, I YouTubed how to replace this part with a Kenmore fridge, followed the tutorial step by step and it was so EASY!! It fit great and continues to work great 3 years later! Saved me from having to buy another fridge! I uploaded the model number of our fridge (see photo) in case it helps someone else with the same dilemma!
