Great product for the price, minor insignificant differences from brand name
First of all I'd like to say that we have tried both the brand name & several generics, but this will now be our preferred product. I'll address a few things other reviewers have left negative remarks on: yes, it does have a "different smell." It isn't terrible, and not much different from the brand name (especially the rapid response version), part of this-like other speciality or medicated lotions/topicals, is due to the active ingredients. It isnt terrible & dissipates within a few minutes after application (we have a teen with severe allergies that are aggravated by smells & also has chronic lung issues-and he has NO problems using this product on his face in regard to aroma). Second would be the initial white-like lather; again it's part of what the ingredients contain & how the lotion works. It is a bit thinner compared to the Rapid variety of the brand name, but thicker than most moisturizing lotions. The product DOES absorb rather well, by the time you apply it to say another arm/leg/foot/etc the previously applied lotion has already begun to absorb. If you over apply (which I think most people are doing) you may have to gently rub the area again briefly, but the product will quickly absorb (this can help you guage what areas you may be applying to much to/or how much is a good amount, as within about 30 seconds to a minute there should be no white appearance left on the skin-if there is, you're applying it a bit too liberally. Less is more. Why we like this product: it doesnt seem as harsh as the brand name, or other generics that also contain the same concentrate of active ingredient (the regular grade brand name is 15% vs 12% which imho doesnt really pose much of a difference-see note* further on). The price is a big factor, as it's nearly half the price of the brand name (with an oz of extra product) per bottle, and more than half the price for the price of the two bottles together (1/4 cheaper than store brand generics where we are). It's just as effective, but again not as harsh *which means over drying of skin, flaking, and primarily irritation doesnt occur--which is super important for our kiddos with extremely sensitive skin & loads of contact allergies. For us, this means that our 6yo isnt going through periods of treating the condition, followed by three steps back due to irritation, which is often followed by a more profuse outbreak later on. It hits the mark in the balancing act of, successful treatment and not creating secondary issues or irritation that can come with prolonged use (which we've faced the most with the brand name, especially for our younger kiddos & myself with autoimmune/inflammation issues. We like the consistency, especially for our 6yo mentioned above, as she is also on the spectrum & struggles with sensory issues--and for those who have experience with such, are most likely familiar with the triggers that come with creams, lotions and other topicals. It's not too thick, nor too watery or oily. It dries quickly and leaves the skin feeling dry, yet moisturized (not greasy, which we find the brand name tends to do and just a couple store brands). We also know where we are applying it, and can avoid trigger areas nearby (like elbows, between toes, ankles, sides of the face, or top shoulder part of the arm) because it does have the slight white color when initially applying, but again dissipates quickly so as not to cause alternate visual triggers, leading her to feel as though her skin/body is visually being "suffocated" or closed in upon.Shipping was quick, packaging was as expected and product labels were easy to read. The only reason I left 3 stars for smell, is because in comparison to other purposely scented lotions, it doesn't have the same aromas; but is nothing negative and typical of the type of product that it is. Same applies to the 4 out of 5 stars for moisturizing, as it can (again, simply part of how the active ingredient works overall, no matter the brand) cause drying or irritation if the product is over applied, applied more frequently than recommended (esp in sensitive areas such as the face) nor is the same type of product if comparing to non medicated lotions made for over/robust generic hydration (comparison would be lotions that contain large amounts top layer coating ingredients, such as lots of petroleum, butters, oils, extracts, etc which again, is why this product doesnt feel greasy after application, nor has overlying scents).

It works
I don't leave a lot of reviews but I was struggling with my hills being all callous when wearing sandals in the summer period I tried this product from the great reviews and it did not displease me it works pretty good. It does have a little bit of smell but not much I'm getting to use it on my whole foot and works great and takes away the Callous feet.I would definitely recommend this product.

A GREAT Bargain
This is basically generic Amlactin. You get twice the product as one bottle of the name brand. The packaging isn’t as attractive but the product sells itself. I Will continue to purchase. It’s the exact same. Odd smell and all…but that’s the same with Amlactin. It goes away after soaking in. Best moisturizer on the market.

Solved peeling problems from my prescription retinol
This is a medium weight cream that's absorbed really quickly by the skin. It can be a bit stingy but only for a few seconds. It has an odd sent but just add a couple drops lavender oil and it's fine. It has completely solved my peeling problem from my prescription retinal. I'm guessing it breaks down a very thin layer of surface skin. I'm very happy, because the peeling was a serious issue for years once I got aclimatized to my retinol. I can now wear makeup without worrying that it's going to just flake/ peel off

Just what I expected
This product is the same as the one a dermotoligist prescribed for me. No need for a Doctor visit to renew.

Not impressed
Well so far I didn't see any improvement on my skin. The cream is so thick to dissolve into the skin. It leaves a white cast on the skin. It is so expensive for little or no effect. I just think this is just hyped. I wish I can get a refund for this. Maybe I should have gone for Sebamed instead

Very thick cream
This cream does not absorb well on my skin, takes quite a few minutes before it disappears. Definitely not for the face, but good on dry areas of the body.
