Finding the heart center of Tai Chi Bill Douglas does it again.
Bill Douglas is a pioneer relationship artist. Forming strong lasting relationships through deep listening and true hearing of the heart of the one in front of him. This book relates his life long journey of discovering the natural science (Tao) of Tai Chi. The information and perspective shared in this book are gleaned from decades of study and interactions world wide with other Tai Chi players. Bill lived this Tai Chi experience through his idea and actions of bringing into being a dedicated day, all around the world now, to the practice of Tai Chi and Qi gong to share and expand the reach of Tai Chi for heath and humanity. As a Tai chi Teacher and practitioner for over 3 decades myself I can say that any player of Tai chi would benefit from this book, It is like having a good friend who tells you where to go and look to see the best sights. Beginner players and well seasoned Tai Chi players will find gems of insight that match their experience and also direct their attention and awareness to new vistas of discover.Bravo Bill for once again helping the Tai Chi world come together in the flow and May we all experience the Tao of Tai Chi.Peace and may the Clear light shine from your heartJay

Beautiful Book and a Rare Find
The Tao of Tai Chi by Bill Douglas is a beautiful book and a rare find. As a Tai Chi practitioner and instructor I will continue to use this book as my guiding light, as it has enriched my own practice as well as my approach to teaching. This book is more about the yin, the feminine, the letting go side of practicing Tai Chi. It is written with such love and integrity that my heart continues to melt, exhaling deeper with every word. I read it slowly, rereading lines, paragraphs and chapters, trying to absorb as much of the book's yin philosophy. I highly recommend The Tao of Tai Chi to practitioners, students and instructors alike, as well as for anyone interested in learning more about Taoism, Tai Chi and their correlation.

Some insights but didn't appeal to me.
I'm familiar with Bill Douglas from the internet, have read his first book and have participated locally in the annual World Tai Chi Day that he initiated. So, I had high hopes as I started reading but soon became disappointed. There are some good insights here but his writing style didn't appeal to me and would not recommend this book.

I found Bill Douglas' book a great read! So many validations of similar experiences
As a Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner for more than 6 yrs, I found Bill Douglas' book a great read! So many validations of similar experiences! Tai Chi & Qigong literally saved my life. Bill explains "how" this works for people in a way that's easy to understand and no sappy, B.S. about it - just facts! Wongerful book! I've turned down the corners of many pages to share nuggets of wisdom with my fellow practitioners. Anyone who reads this will walk away with a bit of wonder....I sure hope you act on this wonder - you will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed reading, The Tao of Tai Chi
I enjoyed reading, The Tao of Tai Chi. Douglas’ references to evidence-based science in his new book will help practitioners replicate the healing potential of Tai Chi. His observations on art, science, mathematics and physics are most helpful in developing an integrated view of life. Many will identify with his journey and reap the benefits of his introspective reflection. My wife and I will certainly experience a personal connection when we celebrate future World Tai Chi & Qigong Days.Dr. William (Bill) KirtleyPresidentNational Social Science Association

Well Worth Your Time
Groundbreaking book using one man's journey to explore the opening of consciousness in the West. Both a very personal memoir and an epic narrative. Tai Chi brings together the micro and macro-cosmic forces that can re-balance one individual or a culture
