I think this is a really good book. It's about a kid who's picked on a lot. Everybody says his jokes are really dumb. Then there's this talent show and the kid wants to tell jokes there and he thinks it's the most important thing in his life for some reason. So, you should read it because it's an awesome book. Plus, if you like funny books you should read this because it's really really funny!THE END of this review thingie.

These items were ordered for my great grandson who is home schooled. I was very pleased with the workbook, but I could see that he needed the textbook. i was able to find a used one on Amazon at a very small price. The Louis Sacher books were for fun reading. As a retired English teacher, I knew he would love them.

I like the way Louis Sachar made up a lot of jokes that were very funny. Also when Gary got hit with a pie. I also enjoyed the rap that Joe made up. And also Ryan Utt always saying butt.

This book is about a boy who loves to tell jokes. But everyone thinks he's a goon. So his parents say if he doesn't tell jokes for a month they will give him 100 bucks! There is a talent shoe coming up and Gary is going to play jokes...... Anyways this book is really good! I love books by Louis Sachar and I think kids will like this book. I'm 10 by the way!

I read the novel before I read this play. It was much better. The play skipped too many important things.

An ok book about self esteem...the parents were not really supportive of their son and he spends little time with family. Good idea about not caring what the bullies think but not the best family heart warming story.

The story is great--I have it for middle school students but the message is timeless. This book is for any age reader.

Louis Sachar, you never fail me. This book is so GOOD, I'm secretly reading though it's past my 'bedtime', which means a lot cos my parents are very strict on 'bedtime'! I recommend this book to KS2!

This book is really good! Although some of the jokes aren't exactly funny, it was still a great read! I really enjoyed it.
