BECCALowlight Highlight Palette Poured

I have purchased this product from Sephora in the past, and it was much more powdery than the makeup in this compact, which is like a thick paste. It is hard for me to use a brush with it, so I have to use my fingers to apply it. I am thinking that maybe there is a powder version that I bought previously, and that's why the consistency is so different, but I'm not sure. (I just noticed that this says, "Poured.") The contouring color is a little too light for my skin, so I have switched to a different product for that purpose. However, I LOVE the highlighter, which gives me a luminous glow that is not too over the top. I have also purchased (in the past) the highlighter that comes in a little tube with a wand applicator that has a foam tip. That stuff is great and more portable than this, so I will probably just buy that in the future. The video on how to sculpt your face with this product is very good.

New to contouring, I purchased this on a whim because the brown hadn't looked TOO dark. I have fair, reddish skin and was afraid of looking too made up had I gone with a darker or orange-y color, if that makes sense.The contour portion of this palette was the perfect hue for my skin. As I put it on with one stroke in the recommended 3 sweep, I can see the product immediately, where I can build it up or blend it out as I see fit. I've yet to watch a YouTube video so I can pick up some tips and tricks, but for now, the included instructions for contouring seemed to work just fine.Highlight is so very pretty. It's really this part of the palette that is making me kick myself for not getting into the trend sooner. I even dabbed some on the corner of my eyes and internally blushed at how pretty it turned out. Will try to take a picture later to share, but wanted to get my first impression up asap.Thanks for reading!
