Extremely strong motor, lower RPM than you think
I’m running this motor and a brand new, Traxxas slayer, pro 4 x 4, basically a revo. You will need the big block installation kit from Traxxas and you’ll need to do some tuning. There’s gonna be cutting involved to your chassis. Your transmission will have to go forward but once you get everything to mesh up.( and remember if you’re not mechanically inclined just cause it’s smaller doesn’t mean it’s easier usually means it’s way harder.) she’s a ripper I found I got the best performance using sidewinder 30/11 blend . Took a lot of treating but I hit 57 mph on 30k rpm motor. That’s what a 45k rpm 3.3 will do but it takes all of the road with this beast I hit second almost right away cuz it just roast all 4 lol

Overall good motor
The media could not be loaded. It is overall a good motor, great power (so much power that it blew 1st gear), and seems pretty reliable so far. I know it is a monster truck engine but it was put in my XTM XLB 1/7 buggy and it runs and drives great. My only complaints are that It didn't come tuned correctly, and with me being fairly new to nitro it was an ABSOLUTE PAIN to tune and that the pull starter broke almost immediately due to just a bad design, nothing a little JB Weld couldn't fix though.

Perfect engine for a hpi savage xl!
Once broken in this engine is perfect for my all aluminum savage, easy to tune and more power than my old axial .28. Best upgrade iv done to this truck to date.

Great Find!
So i burnt out my old .21 original motor from my exceed rc Madstorm and went on a quick o live hunt for something around $200 and grabbed this little beast. I had to shim it/mock it to my truck because it’s a larger motor. After mounting it, changing out the spark plug(it runs fine with a 3 or 4),and running new fuel lines I broke it in. First off it fired up after the second pull!!! I followed the manual to a tee(except I broke it in on grass). After the 5th tank of fuel I readjusted the high speed and low speed needles to reassure myself it was 3.5 turns out on the high speed, and 2 turns out on the low side before warming it up to tune. I found perfection with about an hour on the low speed(clock wise/lean) and 1/2 turn on the high side(clock wise/lean). It is well worth the money, and it’s quick!!

Terrible reliability
I bought this replacement engine for an older truck after it's engine went and it seemed like a great deal. I followed all instructions while setting it up and ended up severely disappointed. After installing it in the truck, the pull starter broke before getting the engine to start for the first time. I ordered a replacement spinstart to fix it, which also broke from how much the engine stalled during break in. I put a third starter in, and once I tried to start it, the one way bearing cracked and broke imeediately.I was barely able to break this engine in and never even gotten to the point where I could drive it around the block. I've completely given up and regret getting this.

It has monster in the name.
This engine runs forever and has killer power. The first one is many years old and countless gallons thru it, still runs reliably but it’s no spring chicken anymore. Number two is going in a new project. Buy a temp gun and and tune it to 220-240.

Well worth the money
Packs a punch. Stronger than I thought it would be. I placed it in my Losi 8ight Truggy and it moves. Nice upgrade from the stock .28, wont disappoint. Only negative, like most engines, is the pull start, fragile but still going. Just be easy on the pull start

WARNING!!! BACKPLATE IS HUGE!!!
When I first got this engine I was extremely disappointed. No this engine will not fit anywhere a .21 fits. The mounting screws and the engine size are fine but the backplate on this one is ridiculous. It is massive. It hangs down below the bottom of the crankcase by quite a bit. It is also much wider than the engine. I had to trim some of my engine mounts and I had to cut 1/4" off the bottom of the backplate. I then had to drill 4 new holes so I could fit a different pull start on it.Now that I have done all that, it performs really well for such a cheap engine. It idles perfectly and spools up very quickly. Plenty of power and easy to tune.
