Solid Frame Rest is Poor.

This Printer is sturdy in Frame when together didn't have any Vibration at all. Read Manual first before putting together. Didn't take Me & Partner too long, Once we Had got all sorted. switched on the Printer, was noisier than expected.Loaded the Filament. It was so easy can't stress what a doddle this was. Right Loaded SD card and Followed advice from the FB Chiron Support Group. Manually Leveled Bed. 4 screws to loosen or tighten, easy. Loaded the sensor onto print head & started to auto Level. all done started the Print all was well printed off my first print and that was great.Used cura 3.6 (now Cura 4.0) to splice Programme and Amazon basic 'brown' filament. Then The issues started.1 Print head lasted 2 days before cables ( so thin and no protection from heat) Broke my second print head when Pliers slipped & i damaged the wires.(advised by AC Customer service) Other companies supply spanners!!! Print heads not covered by warranty. Had already bought recommended Print head from Amazon as Told by FB Chiron Group.2 Need to re level Heated Bed after every Print & Remember to clean Bed after every print too. They tell you to use a A4 sheet of Paper to do this Nothing supplied. would expect a Nylon/Plastic Level sheet.3 Printer in X & Y started going wrong then Had it 9 days & the rubber wheel guides in x needed changing. No wonder they put in a spare set of rubber Tyres..4 started to fluctuate in Temperature leading to errors in Print. emailed Company regarding this Prob I am still waiting for a reply 5 days on.5 Printer started Jumping in Y that was it Had enough so now Boxed & waiting for collection On Monday. This Printer if you want one to 'Bash' ie. print heads Extruders, Mother board Is Perfect. The Frame Is so strong & Sturdy its Just the rest. SD Reader Cheap and tacky so is the SD card. If you move Print bed X or Y when not on The LCD Screen Lights up & starts running as the Motors act as Generators. I know weird sure its not healthy for the Printer.so Highly recommend if you are wanting a DIY Kit Printer. BUT NOT FOR A NOVICE. I do expect some Tinkering after all I read but not to spend Hundreds more to Improve something the company Should do. Make this Product Better by putting in what The Owners Promote on the FB Chiron Support Page, You say you will Listen But no sign of that yet. Cant you see People will spend the Money to get a Fantastic Printer....

Excellent printer. Really easy to setup and use.

Got the Chiron delivered 1 week ago. This is my first 3d printer so was a little nervous about learning to us it but I shouldn't have been as it's been a breeze.Set it up which was fairly simple and carried out the manual levelling (haven't even installed the auto leveller don't think I'll ever use it) which was incredibly easy. The levelling was the thing I was most worried about but following the instructions it was self explanatory and very easy.Carried out the levelling test print once I was happy.I stopped the levelling test print at around 50% as I was happy with what was printing and didn't wish to waste filament.I started with a small test print using the supplied 1kg reel of filament. The small test print came out great, did another small test print with the same results so moved on to something larger with a much longer print time again with excellent results. As a final test I printed out something very large 36cm width 37.5cm height and the results again are very impressive.I did use the hairspray technique to help with adhesion but other than that just followed the instructions in the manual.

Go buy one, worth its money.

This printer isnt the greatest and is very slow. Using the same fuctions as the CR10S means any file save with CR10S g-codes will work on here too. All that being said i would recommend it as its a very good printer for the price.

Great Printer but first a warning!

Warning! The supplied cutters that came with the printer exploded when I applied too much force sending the blade into my face, it missed my eye by an inch and cut my cheek. Wear googles or chuck it out and by a branded one.The printer is great but is of intermediate difficulty, if you don't specifically need a large print volume avoid this printer, the larger area is harder too level and costs a heck of a lot to keep heated throughout the prints. (a 1Kw bed for sometime 3 days!)Loving it so far printing some community enhancements for the chiron from thingiverse. And I made a belt.

chiron 3d printer

Having used the smaller anycubic printer for a while, and having loads of issues with the card reader, desided to give this a go. A lot more sophisticated with the self leveling deck, and worked first time out of the box.
