The ABCs of Software Defined Radio Paperback – April 26, 2012

This book is a waste of time. Harsh? Maybe, but read on...This book only covers up to the 3rd "generation" of SDR, but the 4th generation has been out for at least 7 years! This book is not that old! Yet, it makes no mention of the Flex 6000 series or any of the OpenHPSDR-based systems. Just to add insult to injury, this book is pathetically thin and comes up way short on the content it does contain. It certainly is not worth the $19.95 being charged for it.I realize technology moves fast, but this book so out of date that I feel it should be pulled off the market due to its outdated content and inflated price.

Interesting but expensive for what you actually get in my opinion.

This small 7-1/2" X 9" "magazine" publication is just not worth the price. IMO it's more of a "$9.95" variety.

I used to be an Old School Ham operator with morse code only, on 80 meters. But now I'm a savvy Software Defined Radio buff who someday will own and license equipment to operate on the higher frequencies. This is a great book for wetting your appetite for SDR and getting on the air with it.

A great waste of money. You are better off googling SDR radio, and surfing the topic than buying the book. Little information is to be found here.
