This is expensive for the amount that you get. However, it doesn't have any low quality filler ingredients like gravies and starches. The phosphorus levels are in a safe range for most cats and it's high protein. My cat loves it and it doesn't upset his sensitive IBS stomach. I wish the price was more reasonable, and it rarely goes on sale. But it's cheaper than vet bills and my cat is thriving on it.

Bless you folks at WERUVA! I've searched and tried for 5 years for a food SOFT enough, JUICY enough, and NUTRITIONALLY complete for my toothless Smoky boy who lost all of his teeth due to eosinophilic stomatitis. Most "wet cat foods" have gravy like juice, but the solids are hard, I.e., cooked protein. And the pates' are soft, but not juicy. Either way, he could never get a grip on his food. He'd suck out the juice, then try to bite the pieces with his little gums. I ended up wasting can after can because he would give up until I plopped another can down for him. And the cycle repeated. Mixing water and homemade broth helped a bit but I know it wasn't enough. He's about 13, and about 11 lbs, a Russian Blue rescue who adopted me. I tried about 15 different wet cat foods. I've donated tons of it to friends, neighbors and a kitten foster care giver. So not wasted. I'm entering Smoky's condition in case others need something for their toothless love bugs. I searched all over the Internet and SMILE.AMAZON.COM for "food for toothless cats" with no hits. I hope this gets out there. Anyway, Smoky actually was able to lick almost the entire pouch without stopping. About half teaspoon is left. He never eats like that because he could not...before WERUVA! He tried Chicken and Chicken Liver pate. I ordered variety pack next. I'm a happy kitty mom. Thanks again!

My one year old loves this and the frick a zee chicken. She is so picky so I’m glad it didn’t take too long to find something she liked.Edit: I forgot to mention that you do have to mash it up with a little hot water for it to be “pate.” Not really a big deal to me since I always have hot water around.

It's taken about four weeks, but Désirée, my litte Leo with an attitude is finally eating like a cat. For 12 years she has refused to touch everything except baby food and hard food, but her choices make her throw up. I finally found Weruva, and she's started eating it at last! What a trial. It smells good, so I'm pretty sure it tastes good, and there is nothing listed in the ingredients that could be bad for her. She's gone from throwing up once or twice a day to once or twice a week, and I'm delighted. My only chore is having to hide the other cat's food because Maxie loves freeze-dried foods, and she won't even give Weruva a tumble. I will keep trying though because she eats a wet food that I would classify with potato chips, and I really love her very much.

I have been using weruva for some time, the cats like it and we did not have an issue until the last batch.We had two plastic pieces in two days in a row. Since we mash the food we ended up seeing plastic particles in the bowl. The first one we did not understand what it was and lost it whilst removing. Today the same thing happened and we removed and burnt the piece to make sure it is plastic. And it is!Now we are wondering whether if our cats have eaten plastic before, during the course of our time using weruva.

If your kitty loves not stinky and very smooth wet food, you should try this. My cat is extremely picky about her food texture.
