Atomic Ball Wall Clock, Multi

Unless you're looking for a valuable, antique original of this Nelson clock actually manufactured in the mid century, this baby will thrill you with its replication of the classic. Thick metal housing, with a modern quartz time keeper inside. Beautifully done semi gloss colors on the balls. And delicate, nicely painted hands. As a mid century modern buff, I see no reason for spending $375 on the other models listed on Amazon -- unless your'e a serious collector. But even then, as it arrived nicely tripled packaged and secured in a box with the George Nelson trademark, and is manufactured by Kirch Industrial in Tawian, it would seem this model is a licensed reproduction or they wouldn't be able to formally use the name. A steal at seventy bucks.

Runs a little fastHard to read, especially in the dark.Looks a lot like the original at a more affordable price. We mounted in our Airstream trailer works with decor.

Clock blends in nicely with my mid century decor in my living room. Colors are true to picture. Keeps time perfectly. the hands are very delicate, they bend easily. This is the reason for only 4 stars, not 5

Bought for a client...looks good and works well. It’s not as refined as the real thing...but then that’s why you aren’t paying 4 times the cost.

When I saw this, it took me back to the 50s and 60s growing up...this almost exact clock hung in our kitchen as I grew up. My mom loved mid-century modern...I still have the Eames chairs from our dining room! My mom is long gone but every time I look at the clock, I think of her and the wonderful times in that kitchen. The only differences are (to my memory) that our clocks hands were all black (it burned in a fire so I don't have it to verify) and it runs on a AA battery instead of plugging it in. Oh yea, it works great too! Couldn't be more pleased with the purchase!!!!!

We love our new clock. Stylish, cute and a conversation starter. No complaints about the vendor, the clock was well boxed and in perfect condition when it arrived when promised.

I do not know if it is real or a counterfeit. In either case it looks great on the wall and keep accurate time. Like most clocks, it is important to adjust the time by using the dial in the back (where the batteries go) and not by moving the hands on the front. My wife did the latter and then said the clock was broken.After reseating the hands, it was back to working as expected.We get many compliments on it.

I collect George Nelson clocks and saw this one for a fraction of the cost so I thought I'd give it a try. It was labeled as an authentic George Nelson but it's the opposite. It's poorly made and obviously a knock off when put up against the authentic re-editions. If you're just looking for a retro type clock and have no attachments to it being a George Nelson this will work for you. However, if you're looking for a more true George Nelson clock, don't bother with these cheap knock offs, especially if you're a George Nelson enthusiast.
