So, I'm 33 and the fact that someone thought to redesign the classic umbrella to be more functional blew my mind. And I will say that the way this one looks when it's rolled up still seems odd to me, but my god, it's so functional! I live in Ohio, where spring is just a constant barrage of cold rain and wind. This umbrella is incredibly helpful for dealing with these conditions and I am so happy that I decided to buy it. It opens and closes easily, it's lightweight, and the design on the inside makes me hate everything just a little bit less. I paid $10 more for an umbrella that was rated well on Amazon that takes both hands and all my strength to close, so this one definitely wins.

Revised ReviewI ordered this umbrella in June 2018. Within 3-4 uses, the tips at the end of the ribs started breaking off. I noticed they were soldered together very poorly. I used tape to hold the ends together. After several more uses, the umbrella stopped opening completely. Half the umbrella would open while the other half jammed up. Now, one of the joints between the stretcher and the rib has broken and poked through the underside of the umbrella. This turned out to be a costly piece of junk. After 4 months of occasional use, it is useless. If I could still return it, I would.

I like this umbrella, I really do. The design is pretty on the inside (I got the one with the clouds). It holds up well in this crazy midwest rain (gotta love spring time). However, from the reviews I was expecting it to be much wider. I’m a small girl, so it’s not not THAT big of an issue for me; but while I was at school I noticed that it would cover my person completely; but the backpack I carried would always get wet. Thankfully, it was a waterproof north face so, I can’t complain too much. But I was definitely expecting more range to be on this thing.

This is best umbrella ever. The most important one is to remember when I bring it into the car, that I can't turn it over (handle up) as I am used to doing. Other than that it is great. Easy when on a porch to turn it over and spin to get rid of excess water. Easy to stand up in a utility tub or bath tub to let it drain; you just have to remember to not dump it where you don't want to.I've used this in heavy rain with gusty winds and it holds up nicely (so far). I like the shape of the handle, very easy to carry it on my wrist when my hands are full. And it does perform just as described in regard to keeping things dry.Mine came with a nylon cover and I highly recommend that extra. The cover protects the printed side (which is on the outside when folded) and also compresses it into a more streamlined shape, and gives you a shoulder strap to keep it out of your way when you are not using it.This design really is one of those "why have we done it the other way all these years" kinds of things.

I am an excellent reviewer because I don't place a review until I have used the product for at least 3-6 months. This gives buyers a realistic review of what to expect with any product.I have used this umbrella and it works as advertised. It's design is great, easy to use and very easy to get in and out of a car. The quality is great. Only complaint is that it is a little heavier, but I attribute that to the fact that it is very durable and will not break or bend if it gets beaten up in your car like other cheap umbrellas.

Fun umbrella. I got the black with red flower design and it’s very pretty. I like the handled cover it comes with but it is a bit tricky to get the umbrella inside the cover. Holds up well to wind which was a concern of mine when looking at the design. It’s surprisingly light weight considering the size but due to design it doesn’t fold up and so it is quite tall. It would be problematic to carry without the handled cover when closed if you are short as you would have to actively hold it up to prevent dragging on the ground. I really like that there are no exposed metal parts, the spine of the umbrella is between the two layers of material which is delightful, I tend to get my hair caught in umbrellas a lot and that will never happen with this one. Also if I do break the spine there won’t be dangling metal parts swinging in my face as would be the case with a regular umbrella. All in all I like it, good item good price.

The design is very nice, however the quality was not what I was expecting which is why I'm giving 3 stars. The frame is sturdy, but the seams seem hastily sewn together, so overall, it doesn't feel as durable as the description implied-- loose threads abundant (even on the case) and dried gluevisible. Feels like it might tear easily. For the $26 I paid, I expected better quality.I have yet to try it out in NYC wind and rain conditions... will update my review then.

As soon as I took it out of the box, the handle came off.. it looked like the C handle was glued on using a glue gun. The material looked fine, the picture inside the umbrella was nice,and it did come with the bag to store it in. I chose to returned it because 1. the handle had come off (which I could have glued back if I really wanted to), 2. I felt like the stem was too short (for my taste), and 3. the stem was made of plastic which I usually prefer it to be metal for durability.
