I bought this for my kids - not for kids. This is quite hard to use and moves really, really fast and unforgivingly, jerking crazily at the slightest touch. I thought it was something that was going to be able to take a crash or two, but on the first flight when we set it back down, it sucked up a piece of hair that stopped the propellor. I had to remove the propeller and clean the shaft/gears to remove the one, single piece of hair since it was no longer operable. I'll continue to try and use it, but I am hesitant to take off or land from any surface that has material on it, such as grass or sidewalk with potential dirt/dust/hair. This drone will literally fit in the palm of your hand just to give you the size, this piece of hair was only about six inches.While a normal drone has an altitude stick that has 'zero' as a hover, this stick is stationary, if you put it all the way down the drone falls, finding that center point where it will stay at altitude is a bit difficult at first since hovering isn't the default for this drone. You have to find the 'sweet spot' where it is just hovering on your own. Again, not for kids unless they are older and more apt to be able to find the spot and use both sticks simultaneously to balance the quick takeoffs and landings of the drone. I would estimate from the size a drop of about 4 feet or a quick jerk while flying horizontal into a hard surface I feel would crack the plastic. If you are not experienced with drones or want something for your young kids to play with, this is not the one you should purchase. I would go for something with more padding and with a controller that is better suited to conventional drone operation.I have to say it's pretty cool, but it's not something you can just pick up without a lot of practice. It's just too fast and jerky for a first-timer in my opinion and not for kids unless they are capable of balancing the vertical rise and fall. I have a larger drone that I use commercially for photography and video and I found this one very hard to navigate, especially due to the controller configuration for altitude rise and fall.If your kids/significant other/friend wants to buy an expensive drone, this might be one to start them out on to show them how hard it is to control and not just something you can pick up and be an expert. If they can figure out the altitude on this drone and can balance the speed and potential overcompensation, they should have no problem flying a larger one, especially with a HUD (heads up display).

We bought this for our son, age 11. He really liked it for the first day or two, sadly a tiny piece broke which prevented it to go up. I returned for a 2nd drone. It arrived promptly and again my son enjoyed his from for a day. It also sadly broke after an indoor day of play. We returned for a refund. A fun dronce but not made well enough to last.

I bought this mini drone for my eight-year-old grandson for Christmas. I wanted to make sure it was something that was not too complicated for him to operate. It arrived on time and was exactly what I was hoping for! My grandson loved it! It did not require much assembly, if any. My grandson is able to fly the drone inside the house as it is small enough and will not damage anything. But he also has had a lot of fun flying it outside. The controller is simple to operate and perfect for someone his age. It also had a great price tag for the product! I scored major points with this gift!

I purchased 2 of these drones for my grandsons and they went to the park to fly the and both flew away and never came down even after the turned off the remotes. The drones just flew away!

Flies high and fast !!

Didnt last very long but my kids are rough on toys so maybe that's why worked fine while it still worked.

It's a fun product, but one must be cautious if playing around kids. The blades are plastic, but can sting if you touch them by accident.
