Plays well for a cheap mandolin
Plays well for a cheap mandolin. The only think it is missing is a case. The bridge is held into place with the tension of the strings. I lined mine up with the product photo and there was no needs to get it adjusted.

Pleased
I am a musician, but am getting into a new instrument with the mandolin and have no prior knowledge specifically towards mandolins. I wanted something relatively cheap in case I didn't catch on or enjoy myself as much as I thought I would. It arrived very swiftly, I ordered it on a Thursday night and it arrived Tuesday mid day. I think it sounds decent but the action is just a hair off you might have to fix the bridge, but that is expected. I had it examined by a friend who works on wood instruments as his job and he agreed that it was in good shape and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. I was willing to pay a little more for a Washburn I've always heard good things about their instruments. So overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

High Quality for a Modest Price
This is a beautiful bit of kit, remarkable quality for the price. The pictures don't do it justice. I'm a guitar player and have always wanted a mandolin so, finally, some Xmas pressie money got earmarked. I went for this because of the reviews and the fact that I've had a Washburn acoustic for about 30 years and that gave me some faith in the manufacturer. As I say, I know nothing about mandolins but in terms that parallel the guitar, the machine heads are good quality and the neck is true. I was momentarily daunted by the fact that the bridge piece is unattached and has to be positioned and adjusted to the right length and then is held in place by string tension alone but this is little more than setting up the bridge pieces on a guitar and shouldn't cause too much trouble even for a novice. Some reviews said the strings that are fitted are poor quality so I bought the one's they recommended but as yet I haven't fitted them because I am too tight and too idle to change 8 brand new strings. It sounds like a mandolin and it feels great. The only criticism I have is that it doesn't come with a free bottle of moonshine.
