The media could not be loaded.  As the days are colder my dog loves laying down on the sofa with me on my electric blanket. I was however worried that he’d be cold at night in his bed.I got this heating pad thinking that my fur baby would be delighted with it, but sadly his initial response was not great. I’m not sure if was because it wasn’t soft and sounds a bit scratchy under foot so he has stayed away from it up until today over 2 weeks later! I had to put it at the end of the sofa and cover him with my blanket so he felt safe and guess what!! He hasn’t moved off it all night so that’s a result.The pad is great and has a really thick ( stainless steel coating) chew proof and longish cord if your worried about your animal having a go at it.My dog is a small Yorkie so size wise it’s perfect. I will be putting it in his donut tonight and am sure he won’t try and get on my bed tonight.I had my feet on it and it’s more than warm enough, but does not have a temperature control which I would have liked so it’s a constant set 96-110F and has a built in thermostat to prevent overheating and fire.The cover is removable and washable too.Best purchase I’ve made for my fur baby to this year and good value too.8% voucher for Prime membersI hope you found this review helpful

Got this as a Christmas present for my cat, it's getting cold and he started clinging to me for cuddles which is lovely but not very practical and as cute as he is it was becoming a little bit annoying!Ordered this couple of days before Christmas and it arrived next day.Unboxed it and put it on his stool, I could feel the pad warming up and was so excited that it a) Worked b) Worked so easily and quickly c) Looks easy to clean. Sadly my cat didn't understand what it was so ignored it. Thought I'd made a mistake buying it but then tried putting treats on the pad to entice him to at least sit on it. Thankfully the treats worked and now I've lost my cat and have to remind him I'm here for cuddles if he wants them!Pros: It works really well my cat is so content and cosy. I've got my personal space back and can visit the bathroom or answer the door without hostage style negotiations.Cons: Kind of missing all of the cuddles.

My very fussy 9yo rescue cat has never been much of a bed fan. But after a bad car accident and subsequent surgery a few weeks ago, she's now on strict rest.We've made the conservatory hers so, despite not being able to go out, she can still sit and watch the birds. The only downside? It's not very warm in there! I bought this to ensure she's comfortable & cosy and she LOVES it. Owned it a week and she has slept on it night & day since! I've had to wash the outer several times & disinfected the inner and all very easy to do. So very glad I bought it!

I liked how quickly this was delivered for my sister’s cat. Ordered 6th January, received the next day. Both she and the cat were suffering as the central heating wasn’t working over the Christmas period and Trevor was spending a lot of time on the duvet, or snuggled on her lap. I felt sorry for them both and saw the reviews and decided to order it as a surprise for the cat as well as helping out my sister. We live very very far from each other. The first picture is Trevor Mc getting on the blanket almost as soon as she opened it, plugged it in and turned it on at 14:12 pm and the second time is him still on it at 21:45. He went away only once to get something to eat and when he saw my sister approaching the blanket he left the food and ran and jumped onto the blanket. From the sounds of it he would have bitten her if she went near the plug! Lol! I only hope it is easy to wash? The central heating has been subsequently fixed and he still lies on the blanket. Half on, half off!! Thanks

This heating pad was bought to try and get my cat to sleep on something other than my legs at night. I suffer with restless leg syndrome, so the weight of the cat as she sleeps on me means I become very uncomfortable and I have a poor night's sleep. Maybe she is cold! I thought. My husband showed me this item online and the reviews were very promising. But I know cats, and there was no way she would sleep on something I had bought purposely for her. I was wrong... Now, during the day, she sleeps on the heating pad. If I go near her, try to pet her, or even touch the heating pad, I get attacked. I am NOT to go near her super, special heating pad. No more is she interested in coming to watch me at the computer while I do a day's work. No. I am not as important as her super, special heating pad. I am lonely.At night, she sleeps on my legs. Because she is a cat and cats are b******s.10/10 for giving my cat a better quality of life.1/10 for me getting a better night's sleep.

The heat pad is a little large for the cat houses we put outside, firmly under shelter, so we put the pad underneath their houses. (Sheltered from weather, particularly rain.)Even with a shallow cushion on top the kitties find the heat pad a little too warm, they crawl into their 'hot' houses during the night, with cold or bad weather, but after an hour or so they come out and crawl into a house without a heat pad. Ideally we'd love heater pads a tiny bit cooler, combined with body heat these pads are a touch too warm. So grateful for them tho', they keep our 'outside' kitties warm and safe through winter.

My 16 year old cat took to it immediately which in itself was a result.However he got too hot so I then put a towel over it and that seemed to diffuse the heat enough. It didn’t feel to hot but I’m not a cat. It should be said I have a very thick coated cat so this may not be an issue for a standard cat!The instructions say not to cover it but I cannot see how that would cause any risk, after all if the cat can lie on it the. Why not a towel or blanket.Overall I’m really please with it I only know led a star off because the cat got off because he got hot. I would still recommend this highly for elderly cats.
