Best gel pen in the world end of discussion
These are the best gel pens in the world. End of discussion. I don't wanna hear it.- The barrel feels great in your hands and is very sturdy- The clip is spring mounted and it will never break. (I mean, don't put it in a vice and wedge it with a crowbar, in that case yes it'll break)- This may sound stupid, but the clicky mechanism is beautiful. It has the right amount of travel, the spring constant is perfect, the click has a great clean snap that doesn't sound too wimpy. I could go on, trust me.- And the pièce de resistance: the point (the poky-writey bit with the ball) and the ink: the ink is beautifully black, beautifully brilliant. If you give it a couple of seconds to dry it'll never smudge (unless it's glossy paper, but I have already stated somewhere else here that glossy paper was invented by the Devil). And it'll never scratch, and the stroke will always be perfectly uniform, i.e. without those annoying thin white streaks in it.- And they're rechargeable!Y'all, they're dirt cheap and they are the absolute best. Trust me. You'll thank me later.

Superb gel pen with great design and functionality
By far my favorite gel pen! Perfect, fine, ultra-black line, goes on smoothly for a 0.5. I find the 0.4mm and smaller tips are a little scratchy for my taste, though. More water resistant than the Pilot G-2, and a better, less bulky body, and better velvety feeling rubber grip. The wide clip sports a certain goofiness when worn in a shirt pocket, but the wide-opening jaws of the spring clip are useful for clinging to fat stuff like binder covers. Altogether a great product,. If you wish to go upscale with a more subtle clip, you can buy the solid brass version that takes the same Zebra JF-.05 refill, and it comes in gold, dark blue, and matte black, for about 10-12 dollars a pop. It is called the zebra sarasa grand gel pen. Takes several weeks to ship free from Japan, but is available at both JetPens and Amazon. They have more weight, balance, and cache' than the clear plastic ones featured here.

It's great
I love stationery and this pen has just shot up to my top 3 pens of all time. Well, maybe top 5 now that I think about it. But anyway, as someone who writes very small, this pen is great because the thickness is just right. I mean I get that it's 0.5 but sometimes it's a bit too thin or a bit too thick you know? So this pen is great in that regards. It's also pretty comfortable because it doesn't dig into my callus too much. Aside from writing very small, I also put a lot of pressure when writing and tend to make my callus worse because of my grip. This is why I almost failed penmanship class. Anyway, this pen is amazing for me, my callus, and my tiny handwriting!

Never going back to other pens
I bought these pens after I saw a lot of hype around them in the stationary world. I figured if so many people have them, they have to be pretty good right? They are so much better then I expected.I was not disappointed in the slightest. Honestly don’t think I’ll ever go back to those Pilot G-2 pens I was using before. These pens glide so well and my hand doesn’t get as fatigued as it did before. Their 0.5, which I find with other pens tend to not write as well are amazingly smooth and don’t have any problems keeping up. Would highly recommend to anyone who has to do a lot of writing. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Too inky
This pen is great overall, but the pen is very inky and it takes forever to dry. Meaning you have to wait a long time to highlight it after writing. Which I can’t stand bc I like to do my notes all in 1 go. Also occasionally it smears when your hand goes over it. Pretty comfortable, the size is perfect. It just smears too much. :(

Great quality and price
These are my new favorite pens. . . used to love the zebra but lately quality seems to be poor. I am very particular about my pens and like the fine point. Found one at a small store in the mall and fortunately found them on Amazon and stocked up!! Also got colored ones for my daughter who is a pen enthusiast as well. . not sure where she got that from!??

Thicker than other Sarasa 0.5s
If you're using these alone, you probably won't realize and this might not matter anyway but they're actually a little thicker than standard 0.5. I compared this pack next to other 0.5s including the vintage color set of these, Sakura Gelly Rolls, as well as my Muji pens and the writing is noticeably thicker than all three. They also don't write as smoothly as the other Sarasa 0.5 pens, and I tried highlighting over them a day later with Mildliners as a test and it still smeared. Good thing is that these dry pretty quickly and they're comfortable, but I wish the Sarasa Clips were consistent in tip size and smoothness between different colors

This is NOT a ballpoint pen
This is a gel pen with a fine .5 tip but it is not a ballpoint pen. There is a difference. I hope they will change the ad copy to indicate that it is a gel pen and not a ballpoint pen. I love fine tip .5 ballpoint pens. This is an excellent product it just isn't what is advertised which is what i was hoping for.
