PNM Cacao Powder Organic Raw Unsweetened Cocoa 4oz

So I saw this before I tried 2 different brands of Cacao (Healthworks and Truvibe) but I went with the others because of the price. That was a bad move! Because honestly, the other brands don't even come close.This one tastes the best (not as bitter), has a smoother aroma, and mixes better. The energy I get from this when mixed with my shakes is great.The product comes from Ecuador (Not multiple countries likes other brands) and is derived from just 1 type of Cocoa bean (Arriba Cacao). Here is the reason all this is important: The Arriba Cacao bean is derived from older cocoa trees (higher quality, better nutrition) that make up 1% of cocoa market. That's one of the reasons this product is more expensive but is way worth it. With Pure Naturals only working with one type of cocoa bean (not a variety) they are able to provide a level of consistency that the other brands mentioned can't live up to.So if you one the best cacao, get this one. If want something kinda comparable but cheaper, try TruVibe but don't go anywhere NEAR Healthworks. (Caused severe stomach pains, not just me either, look in the comments).

I agree with the other review about this being the best tasting. I've tried 3 different cacao powders (Viva labs and Healthworks LLC), and this has that distinct 'rich' taste that you typically get in roasted cocoa powder that the other two seem to lack. Don't get me wrong, Healthworks tastes pretty darn good and Viva Labs is OK (I didn't particularly like the blandness of the flavor it adds), but these beans definitely have that "rich cocoa" taste that I seem to only find in ordinary cocoa powder that's made from roasted cocoa beans. (This is made from raw unroasted cocoa beans, so it's healthier - lacking the carcinogens that high temperatures tend to impart and also the live enzymes are intact.)EDIT: I just found out that this cacao powder has 3X the amount of fat as the other powders. I know what this means: The other powders (Viva Labs and Healthworks) separates the cocoa butter and probably sells it separately, whereas this one retains more if not all of it, leading to a more delicious product. It's also why the other ones are cheaper: They aren't actually 100% of the cocoa beans, they're roughly 50% of it. This is pretty much all of the cocoa bean, including the cocoa butter. In my opinion, this is (probably) more nutritious, as the fat helps in the absorption of the minerals/polyphenols/etc. and help stretch out the absorption more throughout the day. It also helps decrease hunger through increasing satiety, thus helping to reduce desire for other less healthy sources of calories.

Quite simply the best cacao I have enjoyed.When I first came across this product and read the high ratings I was naturally skeptical. I can not think of another product that I have bought on Amazon with such high customer satisfaction. I thought to myself: How can this be? How can a cacao product be so good as to receive 728 ratings, with 88% 5 stars (or better). I figure that at most 1-in-10, maybe even as few as 1-in-100 people bother to rate products they purchase on Amazon. If my calculations are accurate then that would imply that 70,000+ people or more use this product and give it five stars.Well let me tell you, if I could give it ten out of ten I would. This product goes above and beyond even the rave reviews found here on Amazon.First of all, let me describe the smell. When you first open the bag, a small amount of cacao powder wafts. A wonderful aroma emanates. This does not smell like ordinary baker’s chocolate purchased at Safeway or Big T or any other large supermarket. Nor is it like the cocoa of yesteryear I drank growing up in wintery New England as a lad, when my mum would make us a steaming brew of brown sludge. Yes that Hersheys stuff tasted great as a kid. But we are talking cheap, chalky, and over processed and highly sugared factory made kind.NOT Pure Natural Miracles Raw Organic Cacao Powder. Pure Natural Miracles is like velvet. Even it’s texture is a minor miracle.I received the product last week, and have been making it one way, the simple way: Heat 12 oz of water in a large mug to near boiling temperature. Scoop a large 1/4 cup of cacao powder. Mix and stir. No sugar. No Milk. No nada. Pure Natural Miracle cacao. It’s amazing!I sip it slowly letting the delicate flavor and silky smooth velvety feel slide over my tongue. I enjoy small sips over the morning until all that is left at the bottom of the cup is a thick slurry of delicious chocolate. Then I spoon the remainder and use the chocolate coated mug as a starter for my morning joe.My blood pressure is down.My spirits are soaring.Life couldn’t be better.My hats off to the providers and makers of this product.

Hard to find a source of good quality raw cacao . This product is it. Finally can enjoy a cup of coffee enriched with creamy cacao powder! It is not only full of flavonoids, which act as natural antioxidants but also an aphrodisiac because it contains anandamide, a substance that induces euphoria and also contains phenylethylamine which is a mood enhancer.

The shipping cost a fortune. But it is the most delicious cacao I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. And I'm not a chocoholic. Makes divine hot cocoa. Will likely bite the shipping bullet and buy again now that I'm ruined for lesser cocoa,

I have been using the powder in my protein smoothies. No problem blending and provides a delicious chocolatey flavour. Great with coconut milk, ice cubes, maple syrup and a dash of cinnamon/nutmeg/allspice.

just to say that i love this product, have baked with it & it's great ,i'm glad that i found it thru amazon & will be buying this again when i'm just about to run out. it's worth the money to purchase this product.

High quality. I use this in raw food meals such as smoothies and chia seed puddings and the flavour is perfect. I will buy this again for sure.
