I was dissapointed with these plates. Given the price i expected very high quality. I was dissapointed to see imperfections in the surface (tiny bubbles) and that the glaze is not evenly distributed, so giving a milky effect on some parts of the plate. The painted rim is jet black as i would expect but the paint used for the central pattern is not the same colour. The pattern appears as dark navy/ dark grey rather than black.I bought some very cheap (1 pound each) bowls with a similar patten from a discount shop and find the quality of finish comparable to these plates!The photos show Tokyo design (small plates) next to vancasso plates also from Amazon. I find the vancasso higher quality and they are cheaper.
