Excellent car mount, very well thought out design. Pretty straight forward to figure out how to mount to glass, and it comes with a sticky pad if you plan to mount this to anything other than the glass of your windshield. If you mount to your windshield you do not need that part.This particular car mount has an extendable arm (which is different from a lot of others) and a 360 ball joint which allows an endless range of angles this can be in. My old mount was a bendable unit that broke at the suction cup. Hopefully this will hold up better since there will be less tension on the suction cup. With the arm expanded, it puts my phone right in line with the other instruments in my car.Mount is large enough for a very large phone. There is a one button release on one side and then to tighten it you just pinch the sides with your hand. Very easy to use.

If I could give this lower than 1 I would. I really, really needed it for a long trip. For safety reasons, I wanted the phone on the dash so I could glance at the GPS in new locations. Got it. No instructions, but okay, not that difficult to figure out. Then I cleaned my dash, removed the plastic from the sticker and tried to get it to stick to my dash. No way. It would not stick to ANY part of my dash or anything else I tried. The picture shows it stuck to a surface very much like mine. But no go. Don't buy it.

The only good thing about this mount is that the sticky pad holds up. Other than that, everything else is constantly becoming loose. I will tighten everything and have the mount exactly how I want but as I drive everything will become loose again no matter how hard I tighten them.EDIT: I gave an extra star because they have reached out to me after seeing this review to see what they could do to resolve this issue. They have great customer service and even offered to give me another one. I already purchased a different one, but a new one could have possibly been a solution. They will try to solve what ever is wrong.

I was concerned when I ordered it that my 7 Plus would be to big for it. But I went with the description and ordered it. I received this today and was excited. Well, my fear happened. My phone was heavy, fell to floor 2x's while driving. I played with it a bit, if you rotate the screen up, it's a little better. I tried side vent as well. (18'Jeep Cherokee) By doing that, its harder to read screen.Few other notes. : sticks out of vent like 1 1/2-2".Doesn't seem like much, but I could see it becoming an interference .The body of the product is nicely made.The arms are cheap. I could see them snapping off.If you sensitive to "rattling" noises in your car- when empty (no phone) the plastic arms are terribly noisy.Probably works nicely on smaller phone. I just think the 7plus is to heavy .

 My clips on one of the sides no longer retracts after less than a week of use. :(Edit- 9/27/2017 Lowering this to 1 star. Another part broke. And I will note, I have barely used this thing. The knob to tighten the arm stripped out with very little effort. I thought about trying to glue it, but I think that will make it so I can't turn it at all. What a piece of trash. The clip to clap is still broken and I have to beat it to get it to go back in. See photo/video for what I mean.

After putting my phone in and out of it about 5 times, one side of the device will not release to hold the phone.My other complaint is that the case that I have doesn't push the release button far enough infor me to just push the phone in and have the device grab it. I'm assuming other phone cases would work ok.In his case, you get what you pay for. I will be looking for a better design.

The company shipped me a new unit at no charge and it is working well so far. They have been following upon Email quite often. Needed a replacement for my iPhone 6 holder when I upgraded to the iPhone 8 plus. The cup holders in my Jeep aren't large enough for the phone to upright or easily accessible. This vent mount holder is nice. Fits well, supports my iPhone 8 plus well upright or landscape position. Highly recommend.
