In the tradition of Generation 1
The Combiner Wars SkyLynx (you ever notice that there's not vowels in that name?) is a newer release of the G1 SkyLynx. This version is part of a set that forms a new combiner, Air Reign.Though this figure is in the tradition of the original, there are some differences (I have added side by side photographs of this one and the original G1 shuttle part of SkyLynx).1. This figure is much smaller than the original. As you can see from the photos, the original shuttle portion alone is bigger than the entirety of the Combiner Wars SkyLynx (see photos).2. The original had a blaster in his mouth, the new one does not.3. The original had a longer tail, this one has a short tail.4. The new one is a bit more articulate, especially with the wings.Overall, I'm glad to have SkyLynx in my collection. My original Lynx was unfortunately lost in one of my many moves and I'm glad to have a complete SkyLynx again. I may grab the other figures and form Sky Reign, but in the meantime, he's on display with my other G1's.

Awesome... except for the combiner head
I've loved ALL of the Combiner Wars line so far. Sky Lynx didn't disappoint like I though it would. He is a very nice version of the original & is quite sturdy like the others in this series. The fact that it doesn't split into the 2 parts like the original isn't even relevant when you have him in your hands. The only thing I really dislike is the head of the torso. But, that's just my opinion.

sky reign & sky lynx review
sky lynx is fun to play with. quality is good. however, in the sky reign mode, the hips can be better to support the weight.in my version of sky reign, i had jazz (power of the primes); wheeljack, ironhide & sunstreaker (combiner wars).overall, i am pretty happy with this combiner. sky lynx can be replaced with optimus prime (combiner wars).

He's wicked smaht.
This beast is no burden! With the many different modes, these guys are a couple handfuls. Connect to other Siege and Earthrise Transformers with the cool little 'road' system. Goes nicely with the Astro Squad set!Quite hefty, as well.

One of the best figs of CW line
One of the best figures to come out of the Combiner Wars line. A perfect rendition of Sky Lynx. A little small in comparison to how he should scale with other figures but that does not detract me from enjoying him. The Sky Reign combiner is cool as well!

My 7 year old kid loved it. Fun to transform and much more age appropriate than a Maximus Prime that we got for another kid.

Great Buy!
Exactly what I was looking for. Bought this for my godson for his birthday. It came quickly, the box was in perfect shape and it was exactly as described.Aside from all of that, he is a totally cool SkyLinx and fits up with the other Combiner Wars Transformers. A pretty cool addition to my Godson's collection of new and classic Transformers

Its Sky Lynx "light"
Aesthetically this is an awesome interpretation of Sky lynx. As for quality that leaves something to be said. I am a 33 year old lifelong transformers fan so I leave it on the shelf to look at. So for me it was worth the purchase. I wouldn't give it to a child though as it will surely break in a short time.
