Steinberg Audio Interface UR 12

I'm a professional musician and bought this guy because of my frequent travelling and also to run additional pair of studio monitors at home.After having used them for about half a year, I must say I'm quite impressed.Pros:°The quality of audio output is good, not great. But at this price, it's unbeatable.°The pre-amps are industry standard and the hardware monitoring is turning out to be way more valuable than it seems at first.°Works great with all my DAWs and standalone audio applications with minimal latency issues. I'd recommend gaining good knowledge regarding sample rate settings for various mixing and recording purposes for optimal usage.Cons:°As mentioned by others, the headphones out doesn't seem to churn out enough gain, but it won't be a concern if you don't mind turning the knob into higher registers for the required volume.

It supports 192khz /24 bit audio recording. It have tested this for recording from various sources from Vinyl records, Audio Cassettes. The results were very much impressing. Though the device comes with free licencing software for composing and recording it is easy to use with any kind of recording software like audacity, wave editor etc., It has MIDI in and out ports but I haven't tried so far. Comes with Yamaha 1 year warranty. I like this product very much.

Excellent Product...Very high quality item..the microphone gives such a nice response...headphone is giving nearly flat response...and the interface is the soul..it works very well....i did not expect that good in this price range...but trust me...it does what it says...go for it if you are finding a good recording bundle for home...

Very good package to begin music production at home. I been using this from last one year without any issues.

Good. Pre-amps are not bad but nothing great as well. The output gain of the headphone out is really low. One has to turn the the headphone volume to the full to make it audible. Very sturdy built. The average latency is a bit on the higher side. It gives an average latency of 11 ms whereas my old M-Audio fast track used to give 8.30 to 9 ms.

I know about this product it's really value for money with sound quality is also awesome packing also really nice.

The media could not be loaded.  In first time i was purchase a above sound card but from the date on installation sound card is running but a piculier saund come from machine and not working still to date.i was contact to manufacturer several time but no response

O aparelho cumpre o que promete. Chegou antes do prazo. A instalação dos drivers e do cubase, através do site do fabricante,se deu sem nenhum problema e funcionou de primeira no windows 10.

Product arrived in excellent condition. Well packaged and brand new, not open box. So thumps up. So now I am entering the world of audio recording. I bought this product ur222mk11 on sale for $118.00 at the time. I was looking at the newer model ur22c which is $189.00 but I am glad I got this one instead. It does 90% what the newer model can do and the other model would be better suited to someone who has the need of those extra features. I will be using mines mainly for podcasting. I won't go into, comparing the both models!!So setup was easy, downloaded drivers on my Windows 10 laptop installed software cubebase from the website, didn't use the CD from the product, because you'll get the latest drivers on the website, connected everything up and it works great.Build quality.... Great solid all metal, this interface has a great weight and feel to it. Not cheap at all.No drivers problem. No software problem.. Just my lack of experience. But its me learning how to use the software , but audacity seems to be a better choice of software for podcasting as a beginner, so I am learning how to do the same tasks in both. Cubebase has a beautiful interface and can do more but audacity is great also and can do the tasks i need with much ease.As with other reviews the headphone amp is lacking some beef to it . It works but could have been a tad better.I am using condenser mics and my pre amps sound good and i am able to get excellent results from my audio interface. I look forward for my recordings it brings a big smile on my face when you have dependable gear. Money well spent. 5 stars

I had a M-AUDIO Fast Track Pro before that I sold long ago, that was working pretty well, but was all plastic and felt pretty cheap. But that said, it never broke.Then, bought a Presonus Audiobox USB 96 when I had a new recording project, and I did not work as supposed.I could still hear the original signal even when the knob was fully toward the DAW side (Right).So annoying it was unusable. Tried everything and I could not correct the issue. A common problem with these models as I found out later on. So I sold it.I was looking at Focusrite, but model with MIDI is more expensive than the Steinberg, and is not very stable under Windows PC. Also looks like a toy.The Steinberg is perfect!Low cost, very sturdy and easy to setup. Works great under Windows 10 and Reaper. The mix knob works as it should, and it have midi IN/OUT. It also looks classy and beautiful. Feel really hi quality. Sound on the Hi-Z input is really clear and dynamic. I just wish it had a ON/OFF switch, and 2 Hi-Z input instead of only 1.

He encontrado un gran número de personas que poseen distintas interfaces iguales o del nivel de la UR22 que varían de principantes a profesionales y al preguntarles el por qué prefieren la interfaz UR22 suelen todos responder: “Está construida como un Tanque” y “Tiene un sonido increíble” y debo admitir que tienen razón. Después de usar esta interfaz por una semana desde que la adquirí y haber grabado varias piezas formato multi-pista, es una compra de la cual no me arrepiento en lo más mínimo.Construcción:En el momento en que tengas la UR22MKII en tus manos quedarás sorprendido de la calidad de su construcción y esto es por su chasis completamente de metal. Sin problemas podrá soportar uso rudo como el estar rebotando si la llevas dentro de tu mochila camino al ensayo.La UR22MKII incluye un cable USB 2.0, licencias para Cubase AI y Cubasis LE, un disco de instalación con sus drivers correspondientes, un manual traducido en varios idiomas y si han conseguido el paquete de grabación este incluye también incluye unos auriculares con calidad de monitor de estudio y un micrófono de condensador para realizar unas grabaciones cuya calidad definitivamente te sorprenderá. Esto aplica también en una gran variedad de DAWs y programas de audio y video.iUR:Usar la UR22MKII con un iPad no requiere drivers; Tan solo conecta la interfaz y abre tu aplicación favorita, iOS hará la configuración de audio automáticamente. Pero ten en mente que algunas aplicaciones pueden grabar audio en 16 o 24 Bits, te recomiendo investigar el como configurar tus apps para sacar el mayor provecho a esta gran UR22MKII.Si no cuentas con ninguna App para música o audio, puedes descargar Cubasis LE desde la Apple Store. Puedes usarla antes o después de conectar la interfaz pero sólo después de conectar la UR22MKII es que la aplicación funcionará sin ser la versión DEMO. Cubasis LE puede manejar 4 pistas de audio y 4 pistas MIDI, tiene 25 instrumentos virtuales, una mezcladora y 4 procesadores de efectos. Para más control, pistas y características puedes actualizar a la versión completa de Cubasis desde la misma aplicación, pero obviamente con un costo adicional.Sonido:Debo decir que soy un gran fanático de los preamplificadores D para micrófono de Clase – A que vienen incluidos en todas las interfaces de la serie UR. Tienen un sonido particularmente musical, limpio y revelador. No incluye ningún procesador interno DSP, pero honestamente no debemos esperar contar con esta característica en este rango de precios.Conclusión:El mercado de interfaces ‘2-in, 2-out’ tiene mucha competencia, incluyendo la Scarlett 2i2 de Focusrite y la Tascam US-2x2. La Tascam es compatible con iOS y también tiene puertos MIDI pero muchos usuarios encuentran desagradable el diseño angular de su chasis. La Focusrite tiene preamplificadores equiparables a los de Steinberg pero no tiene compatibilidad con iOS ni puertos MIDI.La frecuencia de muestreo a 192kHz de la UR22MKII hace que ésta se distancie de la competencia, agreguemos la construcción sólida de su chasis, Software de excelente nivel, compatibilidad con iPad, iOS, puertos MIDI y Phantom Power y al final obtienes una excelente interfaz, versátil y con un gran sonido que tendrá contento a cualquier usuario no importando cual sea su nivel de experiencia
