This splatter screen is phenomenal. The reinforcing metal bars across the center serve two purposes. They keep the entire thing very sturdy, not flimsy like some I've had in the past. They also have bumps on them to help keep the screen centered on your pan so it can't be bumped off easily. I usually keep cooked bacon on top to keep it warm while I'm still cooking so this is nice.The included spatulas are fantastic quality as well. They have a little weight to them which implies they may have a bit of metal reinforcing them in the center.When I got the box the spatulas were not included by mistake so I contacted the seller and they sent out a new unit immediately at no charge to me. Very nice splatter screen. I've only used it once so far, but it certainly did what it was supposed to. This screen replaces one that did not have the three point attachment of the handle to the screen like this one has - it was attached at the handle only - the welds holding the handle to the screen broke. The extra two points of attachment on the BergKoch splatter make the assembly much stronger. The handle could be a touch longer, but this is a minor, minor complaint. The two spatulas that came with the screen are really nice. I have other spatulas where the spatula part separates from the handle. What I like about the BergKoch spatulas is the single unit design - the handle and spatula are all one piece - no place for bacteria to linger. I'm very happy with the design and quality of the screen and spatulas.

Was looking for a spatter screen that worked better than one I had been using, which this one does. However, I measured the openings to be approximately 0.028 inch. I suspect that the openings would need to be less than half this size to stop anything like 98% of the spatter. Have not found anything better than this BergKoch product so far. After using it a couple times I found that this stops well over 90 percent of the spatter. Stopping spatter more may be irrelevant since I occasionally remove the screen for a few seconds at a time to access the pan contents and have to wipe up some spatter anyway.

Having gone through several grease splatter guards that we bought at our local store, we wanted something a little more sturdy and that would last us for longer than a few months. This thing fits the bill.For those that complain it doesn't stop all grease, of course it doesn't. The only thing that will do that is a solid lid. But for when you don't want to use a glass or metal lid, this grease guard does a great job at cutting back on the amount of splatter. And it's really well made. We've only had it for a couple weeks, but it's obvious the unit is much better made than the ones you can buy at the grocery store. And the two silicone spatulas were a nice addition, and also very well made.Recommended!

I’ve been in the restaurant most of my life and I’ve have spent a lot of time cooking which I love. Now I cook a great deal at home in my cast iron skillet and it drives me crazy with all the grease and oils splattering all over the place. I came across this splatter guard and decided to purchase it mainly because of its incredible ratings. Well all I have to say is what the heck took me so long, I absolutely love this thing and the time to clean up is cut down to nothing. It’s very well built and very strong. I Love love love this splatter guard.

This splatter guard is amazing! It is really sturdy and it can fit multiple size pans. It is perfect for using when frying foods like chicken to keep the oil from splattering all over and making a mess on my stovetop. I also use it for when I make spaghetti sauce so it doesn’t make a mess when it gets too hot and starts bubbling. This splatter guard has also protected me from being burned. I just love this thing and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking but hates cleaning up the mess!

I received this item and it looks as if it will serve its purpose, only issue is there was suppose to be two silicone spatulas included with this item and there was not. I would have ordered another Grease Splatter Screen, the added on items made it easier to order this Brand.

The product works well with my 13 inch fry pan and my two smaller ones. You can see it in action here as I'm pan frying some battered catfish. I'm also impressed with BergKoch. They contacted me to make sure it arrived on time, and again to make sure I was happy with my purchase.
