Authenzo BS-400 Kitchen Torch Lighter (Butane Gas Not Included,Black), 6.3

This is the perfect torch for arts and crafts!! Allows me to do many different types of crafts with ease. Super easy to fill and lasts a good amoubt of time depending on what you're doing, but overall perfect for the price point!!

First impression out of the box is that the torch has a nice weight and feels made of quality materials, very pleasing. Once filled with butane fuel I found it difficult to get it to light. After a dozen attempts it lit and, since then, the ignition has grown more reliable the more I have used. Maybe this is a quirk of being a new construction, a break-in period. As advertised, the igniter button under your thumb can act as a dead-man's lever; take your thumb away and the unit cuts off. Or, you can ignite it and twist the knob to lock it in the on position. On the left side of the body there is a slider. Moving this button forward and back gives you total control of the intensity of the flame and its shape and size. It works perfectly. This is a good quality, well made device. I would recommend it to both the hobbyist and the chef. It gives you a great deal of control to suit a wide variety of tasks.

I run a bar that borrows a lot of practices from the culinary world. I had purchased a torch that broke and opted for this as the replacement. We've been using it twenty to thirty times a day for a few months and it seems just fine. No issues whatsoever. Easy to use one handed. Great little tool, competitive price, still burns things and melts things.

Picked this up as a lightning deal, so I got it for under $10. Which is a great value!Many times I've found myself thinking "If only I had a torch!" while in the workshop or kitchen, so I've had this on my wishlist for some time.When it arrived, naturally I began looking for things to burn. Fortunately I was able to channel that energy instead to making creme brulee, which turned out quite good for my first time. All thanks to this torch.It is made of metal and feels pretty solid. It has a good, comfortable grip and even a heat guard for your trigger finger, which is a great consideration in design.You can adjust the flame with your thumb, and lock it in the on position with the igniter knob as well, though it's just as easy to hold it the whole time unless you need a free hand.My biggest issue with it is the refilling. I have 3 different brands of butane refill canisters and nothing fit quite right in the port of this lighter. I had some overspray and even some pooling while I tried filling it.I suppose this could be user error or I just have the wrong canisters, but I haven't had this issue on other lighters.Having said that, once you do get the butane into this lighter, it seems very fuel efficient. I thought I was going to run out after the little bit I put in there just to try it and so far I still get a good flame on it.

Living for this flame! I got one locally however was unable to even turn it on with my week hands. This one turns on and off easily has a nice adjustment for the flame and is holding up to being manhandled on my art table and getting paint all over it!

Needed this torch for an art project. This fits the bill. Was a little apprehensive about filling it but all is well. If you need butane. Buy it from Amazon or you'll be shopping all over with no success. Save yourself the aggravation.

I've never used a kitchen torch so I wasn't really sure what to expect. This has been really helpful with getting nice sears on meats, creme brulees, and all sorts of things. I even tried searing some broccoli with it, which turned out great. It's not the most crucial item in your kitchen, but it really helps elevate food to the next level.

Me cuesta trabajo cargar el gas por que no puedo (o no se) utilizar bien la boquilla para cargar el gas: no entra bien en la válvula del mechero y se desperdicia el gas cuando intento cargarlo. En todo caso hace falta una descripción más detallada de cómo hacer la carga de gas para los neófitos en este tipo de herramientas.
