Viva La Dog Spa Oatmeal Shampoo for Sensitive Skin, 16-Ounce

I have a six year old peek-a-poo who has had issues of red, irritated, and extremely dry skin, especially under the chin, the neck and on his lower back. I've tried many products in the past to help with the constant itching and shedding but still at times his skin continued to be flaky and his coat very dull. I picked up viva la dog spa oatmeal dog shampoo at a retail store. After the first use I noticed a decrease in his scratching and his coat was silky and soft. By the second use the redness and irritation under his chin and neck were gone and his overall coat seemed revitalized, as if it were the coat of a two or three year old dog. He has also quit shedding. My dog seems more comfortable and in less agony. The neighborhood kids have even commented on how much softer his coat feels. I was so amazed at the results I looked up the product on amazon, found it, and ordered three more bottles. The ingredients are natural with mild coconut cleansers, pro-vitamin B-5, nettle extract, aloe vera, sweet almond oil and of course oatmeal. This product also smells really nice. So if your precious little pooch has skin or coat issues I highly recommended this shampoo. It will soothe their skin and your anxiety because finally you will have a product that works.

I have only used this shampoo on my dog once, but it seems to be a good shampoo. It lathers really well & it does not require a lot of shampoo to get a lot of lather. It left my dog's hair very soft. I did not notice a really strong scent which was fine to me. I don't want my dog to smell like a flower after I bathe him. He has really bad flea allergies. I had to bathe him because a flea bit him & it started an allergic response. He was itching & scratching something terrible before I bathed him. His skin was bright pink & very irritated. It seemed to really soothe his skin. His skin was not as red & irritated after his bath. He went to sleep & seemed much more comfortable.

I always love how my pup smells when I pick her up from the groomer. But she hates being left there for hours. I came across this shampoo one day from a discount store, and it replicated that same powder smell and freshness she has straight from the groomer. The scent stays on my pup's fur for at least a week! So this is what I use in between grooming. Shes also has sensitive skin, and this product does not irritate her at all. And depends on your furry friend's size...my pup is 21 lbs...a small amount this shampoo goes a long away.

I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT! - I purchased a bottle 10 months ago and I just purchased another one to replace the previous one. This shampoo works WONDERS for my Maltese and Shih Tzu coats. I was SURPRISED when I received my bottle of shampoo this time because THE LABEL AND BOTTLE ARE DIFFERENT NOW, see attached images. The new bottle is taller than the previous one I bought in November 2015. I like the other labeling better. It looked more delicate/stylish. However, the scent and quality are the same. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Dog doesn't really like getting a bath but this shampoo is very gentle, lathers up and rinses out pretty easily and leaves her fur clean and soft. Only takes a small amount of shampoo (maybe a quarter-sized dollop) for a medium-sized dog so one bottle will last a long time. I also like that the smell isn't overpowering after she dries out. I haven't tried other brands to compare to but i plan to stick with this one.

My rescue fur baby has many health isdues, one of which is allergies. I've started grooming him asst home and wanted a good, simple ingredient shampoo for him. After searching the pet stores, I stumbled on this one. He loves it, I love it. Very mild smell and leathers easily with water. Rinses with just a few cups of water and we're done with bath time. No more itching, scratching or chewing on feet. They have changed the label on the bottle but it's the same stuff. I've bought several bottles of this over the years and would recommend it.

Foams up ok, though I doubt it is "2x concentrated" like the bottle mentions (or if it is, the original was very very watery). You need a lot of shampoo (they suggest a handful for a small dog), and my greyhound's thin sleek coat needed many handfuls.Scent: very faint cucumber melon scent. Once your dog dries, you can't smell the scent at all, they just smell clean. I don't mind, but I expected a stronger scent from the description.Gentleness: Sensitive skinned greyhounds usually get dry and itchy with most dog shampoos. This one is gentle enough for their paper-thin skin and hasn't caused any itchiness.It's a blue shampoo, like those used on light blonde or grey hair to keep it from looking too yellow. I can't say whether it really works to counteract the yellow on my white hound's coat, since it's still quite yellowed where she used to over-lick, but her truly white parts are quite nicely white. I'm not convinced the level of colorant in the shampoo works any better than any other gentle uncolored shampoo would. I think our old girl's lick stains were completely unaffected and will just have to grow out.If your dog's face or beard is yellowy, I suggest using something like "Angel Eyes" to clean it and keep it dry (dry fur doesn't host the yellowy and rusty fungus/bacteria). I doubt this shampoo will help with those stains.

So far, so good! I just received this shampoo today and washed my shih tzu with it. It worked GREAT! He is black and white and seems to have a love affair with any dirt he can find. I was totally shocked when his paws turned from a dirty brown into a brilliant white! Also, it smells great and makes his coat so silky and shiny.
