A Supplement
We have the companion book for all of Portugal. We bought this book because we plan to spend about 1/2 of our time in the Algarve. It only added a few new ideas, but it was not expensive and will give us a smaller book to carry during that portion of our trip. No regrets.

Excellent manual for first-time visitors.
This book was a huge help in planning and enjoying our vacation. The only thing that would make it better is to include travel times between locations. We found our road trips took longer than we estimated due to the frequent roundabouts.

Great, short overview!
Great, consice book. Great for travel. Small size makes it handy. Has two good maps. It's great if you want short, consice information on attractions, beaches etc. Also, I like the photos that are included that accompany the many things to do.
