Having recently moved and refitted the new bathroom to meet my current needs the last thing I wanted was horrible social service
As an occupational therapist who finds herself in need of equipment I totally 'get' people's utter disdain for local authority provided assistive equipment. Having recently moved and refitted the new bathroom to meet my current needs the last thing I wanted was horrible social services white powder coated metal grabrails nor did I want some bossy herbert from the local SS OT department telling me what I do or do not need. As I've consistently proved to myself I am the therapist who understands my needs the best. I have the chrome pull down rail which is perfectly sturdy enough for the job without making me feel like I'm living in a care-home. my mobility is now so bad that my husband fears for my safety everytime I attempt to take myself off to the loo. The rail has a pulldown leg too which adds to the stability. I now have the freedom and confidence to wheel myself to the bathroom and piddle whenever I need to empty my piss-whistle. The gift of independence is the greatest gift on earth. If you are wondering whether this is up to the job. I can verify that it is. I have theses fgitted at my mother's too and it's withstood 12 months of use so I had no reservations about using these again. the blue and red provide a funky touch for young adults or kids with needs but the chrome looks as good as any disability equipment is ever going to. go on treat yoursef to the gift of independent piddling without making your bathroom look completely 'disabled chic.

This is excellent, I was able to mount it on the wall myself, a mere female, and my husband finds it helps a lot. Would strongly recommend for the bathroom.
