Excellent knife! Best overall purchase experience out of many as well! Impressed.
As a hunter I was looking for a new knife that could withstand the stress I put on my blades. This thing is solid! They had it ready to ship immediately on a Sunday. I paid overnight shipping and received it Tuesday. No big deal I didn’t complain but amazon or the the knife company gave me a reimbursement for shipping I didn’t have to ask! Such a great buy. I’ve bought $400 Siegel’s I could compare this too but more cost effective

Seriously underappreciated fixed blade
Oddly enough, despite this knife seemingly being around for quite a while there doesn't seem to be many reviews anywhere. This knife is seriously underrated in my limited experience. I haven't been able to beat on this thing yet, but the ergonomics on this thing is fantastic.Pros:+ The length and size of the blade is the perfect size for all of your outdoor purposes. Thick/flat spine and the blade isnt so long as to make it awkward for finer details, though if you need to do very precise work, I would recommend something smaller+ I have a large/xl hand size and this fills my hand perfectly+ The angle of the blade relative to the angle of the handle works well, the curve at the back of the handle ensures a solid grip+ For a thick blade it showed up, just sharp enough to cut hair, but barelyCons:- The OKCs other knives in this price range are made of 1095, so it was disappointing that this was 5160, though for almost all practical purposes, I doubt I will notice a difference- The Rhino liner style coating adds a rugged aesthetic, but it gets scratched easily, which may be a pro or con depending on what you like

Awesome Knife
This is an absolutely awesome knife and is probably one of if not the most underrated knife on the market at the moment. It has all the positives of a Becker BK2 or Rat 5 (heft, thickness, etc.) but with the added benefits of being a useful blade for cutting and slicing and not just chopping. You can actually use this knife for skinning and more delicate bushcraft work. A bit smaller and thinner than a Rat 5 which also makes it more versatile. Chopping and prying are still viable options but the slight taper on the belly makes it better suited for more practical chores like skinning and slicing. It's just a great all-around knife that bridges the gap nicely between a sharpened pry bar and a practical bushcraft knife. The micarta handles are a nice addition. Boxy and squared-off but that is actually a plus if you want a firm grip. OKC recently changed the sheath supplied with this knife and the new style, while not perfect, does hold the knife securely.

Buy it for the steel.
This is my third Ontario, and it won't be my last. Yes, the scales are *satisfactory*. Yes, the sheaths are *just okay*.The steel is not, the edge is not. I haven't found anyone who makes a more rugged and useful slab-o-sharp at twice the price. When purchasing a knife, the blade utility, durability, and longevity are the principle boxes; and Ontario always checks them.

This is Ontario Knife stands behind their products unconditionally.
The reason for the 3 stars is the blade was so poorly ground that I had to send it back to the factory. Once received by the factory they contacted me and replaced the knife without any questions. Customer service at Ontario Knife it's quite amazing and they stand behind their product. They sent me a nice back that was personally approved by their master bladesmith.

Awesome knife.
This knife is almost perfect. The handles is a bit blockie but after sanding the hot spot it felt great in the hands. I should give it a 5 all the way around and while i gave it a lower score for the handles i love that they use maicarta, you can sand it down to your liking. All around a great value.
