Copper Tape is what it is
Conductive adhesive, not.So I purchased this for the advertised purpose of shielding guitar pickup cavities. So far only thing I had tested was solderability, and it tinned and soldered easy enough, which is good for making ground connections. The downside is that the adhesive appears to have absolutely zero conductivity.I just did several tests with my Fluke multimeter with a couple scrap pieces of the copper tape. Placing one piece over the other I measured the conductivity. Unless I firmly pressed the top piece of tape into the edge of the lower piece, there was no conductivity. This means that the edge of the tape is sharp enough to puncture the adhesive layer and establish a connection to the top layer. Just to be sure I overlapped two long pieces and used some of the paper backing strip to cover the edge of the lower piece of tape. Even after firmly pressing the tape together there was no detectable conductivity. Note that at best this is effectively a razor thin electrical connection - not what I was hoping for. I highly recommend soldering connecting pieces and verifying conductivity if effective shielding is important for your own application, and I will be doing that on mine.

Does the Job
I have a guitar with ground paint inside the guitar pick-ups cavity. It wasn't working in every place I played. I finally made the decision to do the job myself and yes sir no buzz at all clean sounds good every where I play now. Each guitar player who has this problem should try this noise cancelation goal.

Did all of a p-bass, and the main cavity of a strat
I used this when I upgraded my Squire Affinity P-Bass using brass saddles, a Graphtech Tusk nut, Seymore Duncan Hot P-bass pickups, and new wiring harness/pots from 520D Custom (Sigler Music). The whole setup is WAY quieter. I had enough left to do the main cavity of a hardtail strat I'm building -- I already did all the cavities with shielding paint as well -- hopefully I won't be disappointed -- I need to make sure it's properly grounded -- will update the review when I'm able to test.

Silence your noisy guitar.
Great for reducing noise in your electric guitar. Easy application once you've gutted the guitar. Be sure to cover the back of your pickguard too if you have a telecaster or strat. That said, if you still have buzz or hum in your signal after taping up everything in the guitar, you may need a noise gate. In which case, I would recommend the ISP Decimator II pedal or, if you're a full-on butt rocker, the ISP Decimator rack model.

Good shielding
Good shielding tape, wish it had a couple extra feet, and wish the rolls came round instead of flat. Buy two if you have to shield a pick guard.

An easy to use solution
I used this to shield a control cavity on a bass guitar I was working on and it works great. Easy to use, too--easier than I expected.
