Good size for my controller box
Really like the size of the PID but the calibration I had to do seems a bit much.I used my sous vide in a water bath to calibrated it along with another digital thermometer for verification. Once I got the right probe selected and the PID calibrated (-13 degrees difference), it seems to be displaying the right temp in the range I intend to use it.If you are planning on using it over a wide temperature range, then you might want to try something else.I calibrated it at my target temp of 152. After calibration, I started over and let the sous vide bring the water temp up starting around 75. From 75ish and 130ish, there was at least a 10 degree difference. Once it started getting closer to the 152 mark, the temp gap started closing.I don't plan on using it with a wide temperature range so it should do fine.I would like to see a simpler setup manual and/or a video on how to set this thing up using something like a heating element to maintain a temp range +/- 1 degree.
