Great day and night performance.
I have two of these cameras. First one I bought about a year ago. Then one of my other cheap cameras broke and I decided to buy a new Dahua to replace it. Great day and night performance. The Smart IR works great most of the time, but the way my camera is located the subject can still get washed out if you get within 10 feet of the camera. Not a big deal as it still captures great night time detail anything beyond 10 feet. You can adjust the IR intensity as well. It has a built-in MIC. I am using Blue Iris with this. It's another software that I highly recommend.

Defective
Device was received defective. All instructions were in chinese, despite that I was able to identify that the default IP of this camera is 192.168.1.108, and how to communicate with it. The Device responds to this IP via pings at power-up for about 1 second, then no longer responds to any communication or contact from the ConfigTool program on the dahua wiki (port 37777).Secondly, device is not PoE compatible, as claimed. You need to buy a PoE power splitter. Finally, this model HDW4431C-A is not found on the dahua website, so no support. I will start a defect claim, and will edit this review (if possible) with new info.
