I have had these floodlights for about 12 months. Excellent heavy quality aluminum and CE approved not like some cheaper pressed metal makes.Just a footnote: One floodlight failed a couple of months ago. I do not blame the light but put it down to a defective PIR motion detector possibly pulsing the voltage, causing the LED driver in the flood light to fail? Will keep the floodlight and fit a new driver and install a new PIR.

Did not like the colour temperature for outside bough the cool white instead

Disclosure: I received a discount against this product from the supplier in return for this impartial review.I've got an aging PIR security light on the back of my house and I wanted to give an LED equivalent a go, as they're pretty much everlasting once they're fitted (OK, not strictly true but you get my drift). The first thing that strikes you about this light is how massive it is, at least twice the size of a traditional security light. There is no PIR included with it, so if you want it to switch on and off with movement you'll need to wire a separate one in, otherwise it'll just be a normal switch on/off light from a switch.It's fitted with a flex so you don't have to take the back off to wire it up, but the flex is only about 8 inches long so it's too short for most applications.Where this has a big advantage, though, is the amount of light it casts from the postage stamp-sized CREE LED in the centre. Switch it on and it casts a massive beam of brilliant white light over a huge area - a little too huge for my modest back garden. It's light grey in colour, with a painted enamel finish which makes it stand out more than the usual black security lights.Overall it does a great job, but for my needs I'd prefer a more compact light with its own built in PIR sensor.
