We run a detail shop and car wash and one of our highest services is a full paint correction. You would not believe the amount of cars we see come in that had some kind of correction or sanding done by a "friend" or body shop, or some other incompetent place that completely ruined their clearcoat by taking too much paint off. We had another paint meter that recently broke and replaced it with the milPRO - half the price and I think it is even better! If you do any kind of detailing work, I hope you check the paint thickness when polishing. Do it right and invest in your tools - you will get the repeat business!

This product was great! Customer Support was willing to help but failed overall. First of all it’s very accurate and just what I needed, although it wouldn’t turn off, id have to take the batteries out every time to turn off. The support team told me to send them a video for they were confused which was ridiculous. It did feel cheap for a 400 dollar tool so I was skeptical. I used it about 5 times then when I was talking with a client about paint thickness it wouldn’t turn on even with new batteries, worthless and made me look un professional! Buyer beware, look for a better tool and learn for my headache...

Having been in the auto industry for 15 years I was expecting a lot from this. Most of the time it does not even provide a reading. When it does its very inaccurate. I tested it on cars that had been painted and some that had been not and every time it comes up with different readings. The instructions are horrible and there is zero support. I went to their website and tried to open ticket but got no response. Going in garbage where it belongs.

Ive had my share of gauge, from the $1000 one all the way down to the useless $30 - I think this is the perfect medium in between. It does exactly what it says it will do - perfectly. No extra fluff. When I inspect cars I don't need extra complicated options to send the data back to my computer electronically or some other things that I don't care to pay for.If you are in the industry and you want a good paint meter, I recommend this one.

I have been in the car industry for many years and have used my share of paint meters. This one has exceeded my expectations!.... They actually give you the necessary hardware, and have a built in QUICK calibrate feature! My last one I had, I stopped using because they wanted me to send it in and pay to calibrate it. (Its rare that you need it, but great that you can do it yourself!)

I have been using it for the last two months. Paint meter works well and has thus far exceeded my expectations. It's very user friendly, works great on steel and aluminum panels, and is very accurate. Certainly more accurate than others I have tried in the past. You truly get what you pay for. I am sticking with this one!

Paint meter working well. Comes with everything you need. Full carry case, testing accessories. I had a questionable car with readings I wasn't too sure about and gave them a call - they walked me through it and helped me understand the paintwork. It ended up being a good job, but the blend is what through me off.

You get what you pay for! Quality built unit! Accurate and easy to use!I tried some of the cheaper ones before and the readings those show are way off, giving different readings in the same spot all the time. This one is spot on, every time!
