This scent starts off smelling a bit like a cleaner fluid rather than an aftershave. But once applied and settled becomes a rich and aromatic pine Forrest scent with hints of moss, earth, and sandalwood. It just becomes something you enjoy smelling. It has some citrus notes that I would like to see become stronger but they do not. It took about two weeks of periodic use to get used to the scent and now I use it regularly. The only downside to this scent is that it doesn't always last all day. It does sometimes but usually is gone after lunch. If one could get this in a cologne version it would be perfect, but they don't currently make it in a cologne only as an eua de toilet.Let's hope they come out with it in a cologne version again. This is an old scent from Italy that first appeared in the 1950's. It was semi popular in the sixties and early seventies in the U.S. but then went away for many years. It's return to the U.S. has been welcome by several. This is not a modern Axe body spray that is cheap and bothersome, it is a classic scent that is equally alluring on a male or female. Though many females would not pick it due to the packaging.My wife doesn't enjoy many scents but this one she liked from the start and even uses it occasionally for herself. So that to me says that there is something timeless and enjoyable about this scent. Give this a try if your looking for something different from today's synthetic and overly hyped scent profiles. It just plain smells nice!Just ordered the second bottle of this and i still love the scent and still use it regularly. It has become a favorite and I enjoy the fragrance immensely. I still with it were a bit longer lasting and thus not need to be reapplied during the course of the day. But hardly and scent is like that today. They just don't make them as strong and long lasting anymore.

I used to love this Pino Sylvestre when I was a much younger man. I loved it for its delightful Pine scent. But at the time you had to buy a large bottle & the price was steep. When I saw it on Amazon in a smaller size bottle I could not resist getting one. It also came in multiple heady fragrances. Great buy, great to use every day, does not overwhelm but lets people know you are not an ordinary after shave man.

This fragrance has one of the most unique scent profiles that I have ever experienced. The only reason it was not given an absolute 5 stars is that the scent is so unique that I can see some people not liking it. At first, I wasn’t sure about it, but it grew on me and now it is one of my favorite scents that I have.

this has a pleasant woody scent that's not over powering, enjoy it.

Smells nothing like pine. It’s not awful however. Just cheap men’s cologne that you’d find between Brut and English Leather at your corner drug store. The one star was being overly generous.

Great scent, lasts fairly well and dries down to a subtle scent almost like true sandalwood but not quite.

It is difficult to purchase cologne online as you don't have a clue what it really is going to smell like. I read the description, it smells like all those things, Kind of, and more, much more. I also get whiffs of late night regret and juvenile hijinks. This is definitely not a mature scent, more for the just graduated and don't know who am I am or what I am going to do next crowd. If you are past closing bars on a Tuesday night because it's 2 for 1 Tuesday, this is fragrance is not for you. If you buy your car insurance online without an agent and don't know what elective to take next semester, this is made for you. Still looking for a new signature scent.

A hint of pine is both understated and lingers several hours. For those who would like a change of pace from most men's fragrances, this is the one.
