I chose these for deco look. I do like but find fork handle thin and I drop I do have arthritisLooking to get the Harley ones as a little more solid

These look and feel great, but after less than a months use - and despite being dishwasher safe - four of the knives have rusted. Will be calling on that guarantee....very disappointed.

The Sophie Conran for Arthur Price "Dune" 24 Piece Box Set, Stainless Steel, 28 x 18 x 7 cm is a lovely addition to my tableware.This is a six person box set made from 18/10 stainless steel, and it comes with a 50 yr guarantee. They are also dishwasher safe.The box they arrived in is very attractive. The top has a display area where one of each design is laid out on display and the rest of the set is hidden away underneath, wrapped in tissue paper.I must say I am utterly delighted with this set of cutlery and I do like the textured handle finish. When I compare it to my everyday cutlery service I find this to be a much daintier, and lighter design.However, I will let you into a little secret. Because these have handles with a sightly raised arch that my current set do not have, and the set is a lighter in weight, my husband and son do not like these. They say, that not only are they too dainty for them (which will make them great for special use like entertaining) but when you have TV dinners these knives and forks are more prone to slip off the plates, especially when you walk around with them... hence the 4 stars not 5, and I've been outnumbered with this view, so it's best to let you know. Is this just a (dare I say it) man thing? Hell, let's just sit up the table for every meal from now on, right lads?

This is a really nice set in a classic and understated design. The culterly has a nice weighty feel in the hand, without being unweildy and bulky. It has a nice balance for cutting, and decent length prongs... The steel has remained bright and shiny since we started using them. Very impressed.

The Sophie Conran designed cutlery set is both impressive and elegant. The sculptured design on the handles is exquisite and practical; they provide a firm grip for the user. The delicacy and shape of the knives, forks and spoons will enhance any dinner table setting. It is almost a privilege to use these.

Great set of cultery, perfect presented as to be given as a gift.Each other piece if wrapped in tissue paper underneath the presented items, meaning they won't knock against each other and be tarnished in transport.I was worried these would feel too heavy in the hand, due to their longer then average size (I personally have only ever come across knives and folks this long when in hotels), but not so and the cultery feels nice and balenced in the hands, with a good sharp edge on the knifes.I'm unsure about the sea-shell type design on the lower sections. I feel that these could acumilate dirt over time, and as someone who doesn't own a dishwasher, be difficult to clean, but so far so good and made a lovely addition to our Christmas dining table this year in making it feel more special. My Nanna, whose hands aren't what they used to be with her arthritis, said that they felt comfortable and easy to hold and liked the flat, thin shape of them (cultery that is too rounded slips out of her hands as she can not grip it).
