Great - if you use them properly!
Thought I'd write how to use these properly as it took a bit of trial and error but I now get perfect poached eggs every time. 1. Use a tiny bit of oil in the cup — I use those small spray olive oils which work really well. 2. Crack the egg into the cup, and gently simmer them on a very low heat in a pan with the lid on (v. important to have lid on, and not to let water boil as the cup will end up sinking/filling with water) — 5 minutes for smallish eggs, 5:30 for larger ones. 3. Use a spoon to lift the cup out, then gently tip the excess water back into pan. Use spoon to gently get egg out in one piece — voila, perfect poached eggs every time.

Only used once - need to review again after more usage
After I left this review the company Kitzini were really helpful and gave more information. I think possibly because I like my eggs runny - I only did 3 minutes but that could have been too short for the size of the eggs. The company have bent over backwards to ensure I am happy or refunded. I need to really try them again.

Great little, space saving, egg poacher
These work well, simply oil the inside, put into a saucepan of boiling water, add egg and put the lid on. Takes a bit longer than if the egg were directly in water but I prefer the eggs this way. Grab the edge (without burning yourself on boiling water) and tip the egg onto toast. Works as well as a poaching pan but saves space. The only negative point is that it seemed to lose some of its firmness after washing in the dishwasher, so I only did it once, then washed by hand.

Ignore the ignorant bad reviews
Work great. Little. Oil and make sure you cook long enough. Yes a little longer than directly in water but that's down to heat transfer. Rather wait 2 extra minutes than spend 5 additional with the extra mess and washing up created the traditional way.

Makes poaching easier, albeit slower
I used to poach my eggs just dropping the cracked egg into a pan of boiling water. Compared to using these, I actually get better results in less time. However using these poachers makes it less messier (especially when I poach more than 1 egg), and demands less attention from me (so they're great if I'm doing something else). The downsides is that it takes longer to get the eggs cooked at the same level (I poach my eggs 5 mins in these to get them like a 2 min poached egg), and the cooking is sometimes irregular so I have to filter the rawer bits of the egg white that are still runny. But the results are decent, they use minimum storeage space, so it's good to have these as an option

Love them
Love these, I love poached eggs but have never been able to master it. I've bought something in the past which was useless. Not like these which are very simple to use. You can see the eggs cooking and after doesn't take long before you make your perfect pouched eggs. Easy to clean easy to use just little butter inside. Very pleased worth the money. Slightly big so couldn't do all on one go as wouldn't fit but I suppose thet have to be in order to work as well as they do.

12mins to cook? Far too long!
Firstly winners I put it into boiling water, it tipped sideways, letting water in, so. I had to hold it for a couple of minutes so this didn’t happen, secondly it took 12minutes in fast boiling water - far too long. Thirdly it takes up a lot of room in a pan so cooking three eggs means a larger pan was necessary. I am going back to poaching in water with a little vinegar and drying with kitchen towel. All done and eaten before these eggs are done in the poacher!!

Perfect poached eggs
Make perfect poached eggs. The only downside is they take quite a lot of room in the pan.....so a large pan needed. As a result they take longer to cook. Its also a bit of an art to work out how long you need to cook for to get the Perfect egg....but of course thats personal preference and I suppose I'll work that out in the end lol I don't bother to rub butter or oil over before I put the egg in, I don't feel it makes a difference. I just scoop it out with a large spoon when cooked and don't have a problem. Easy enough to clean (although the egg may stick to the sides a little more as a result of not oiling first?) but just turn them inside out.
