The magnets are not very strong, so I used some tape to supplement. The lights are not very bright, but work great in evening or at night. They are very easy to use, being battery powered and seem to be built well.

Pretty cheaply made.

These are cheaply made and one of the lights was broken on arrival. They also only blink in red. The white light stays on and doesn't blink. I actually wanted them for white light blinking (to keep pack rats away) - so I wasn't using them for an emergency which might not require their use for long. But, in an emergency, I'd want to be able to count on them if needed. I didn't bother returning them so I don't know if the company would have replaced the broken one. They certainly may have. They are so cheaply made though that I doubt the good one would have lasted long. The batteries go pretty fast. I wouldn't recommend these for any use.

I have one of these at my camper out in the middle of nowhere in the mountains and it was always 'there' if I needed it. Easy to reach outside the door and put on the roof, there's a ranger station not far and within site. It takes D batteries. I thought it may be good to have one in the truck and one at an off-grid home too. Got this package of two and realized it uses AA's, much better and easier than D's. Not to mention this does a few things more, good price and value for the money. I've only once in 35 years ever broke down on the pass, and well it's a very deep mountain pass and with blind curves, it will be good to keep in the truck in case that ever happens again though, I do not drive it daily anymore.
