INSTEN VGA to RCA Cable, VGA to TV 3 RCA S-Video AV Adapter (VGA-RCA) for Laptop PC Computer Video Out TV HDTV LCD Projector Monitor (ONLY Work with PC Video Card Supports TV Output Through VGA Port)

Since I don't own anything with the required adapters for this to work (it's a breakout cable and doesn't include any kind of conversion circuits whatsoever, and as far as I know VGA doesn't support audio signals), this was useless for its intended purpose. However after snipping off the RCA ports on it so I could use a portable DVD player as a TV (the DVD player doesn't play DVDs anymore as I picked it up at an electronics recycling center and the only way to input RCA signals is through a mono 1/8" video to composite and a stereo 1/8" to composite for audio in which this product saved me a trip to Radioshack and about $10) so buy this if you need some cheap female RCA ports, otherwise it's kinda useless.

Wasn't able to get this to work with my N64 and my Computer monitor. Might have to do additional research but was initially dissapointed. Hopefully able to get it to work in the future!

Turns out, this is not what I was looking for. I should have read into it before purchasing. I was looking to go from a Roku box RCA output to the VGA input of a LCD monitor.. I could not successfully do this. I did, however try it for what I believe is it's designed purpose and successfully hooked up the VGA output on a computer to an old tube tv... That being said, the product likely works as it is intended. I have no use for it but it will find a home with other random cables and components I have as it is too inexpensive for me to bother returning and who knows, I or someone I know may need this one day.

I am pretty sure I don't have any computers with TV-OUT enabled on the VGA port that I can use. The product might work, but it might not! It hasn't worked with any computers I've tried it out with so far. Which has mainly been laptops.The three star rating is because the product's successful use-case is so rare, not because the product is necessarily faulty.

Does what it's supposed to do properly. The audio cables dont work of course, they shouldnt as the VGA connection doesnt do audio. Make sure this is what you need before you buy it, it puts a picture from a VGA (old style monitor connection) to an RCA video cable or S-Video cable. It does NOT work the other direction and does not transport sound.

I was unable to get this product to work. I gave it 3 stars to give it the benefit of the doubt, because it may have been the Indian (me), not the arrow (the RCA-AV adapter). I was simply trying to use the monitor as a screen for a DVD player by connecting the screens. I am quite confidant however that it really should have worked.

I cant fully rate this yet because I need a converter to go along with it. Will update when I get one.
