Purchased as Christmas gift for aspiring 12 year old son as an upgrade from the electric set he's been using.Pro: it's really beautiful. The blue color is particularly nice IRL. The crash clips are great - they are squeeze to release type and make positioning very easy. The sound is great and it was easy to tune.Con: it's really loud. We didn't realize how loud. We're going to have to move him into the garage.

Powerful quality drum set for beginner
Go to the Tama website and read about the Imperialstar. This is the set with only one floor tom, IP52KH6NC, I believe. For a beginner, this set is killer! The Meinl cymbals sound great. The Tama drum heads deliver good tone and can be worked hard by a beginner. Everything in this set is Tama quality —nothing is low rate. Check out reviews of the Imperialstar on YouTube. Decide if you want to purchase from your locally-owned studio drum shop or from Sam Ash in Florida via Amazon. One piece was damaged in the course of shipping and Sam Ash made it right. Impressive customer service from Sam Ash. Very happy with this purchase!

complete starter drum set
Drums (5), cymbals (high hat, crash, and ride), stands, and chair all included (stick not included). Came in 2 boxes, easy to assemble, sounds good. Good starter set.

Love it!
Great set for the money. I did put all new Evans heads on everything but it was great right out of the box. I also added 20" Crash and 14"China.

Good for starting over again, with room to expand. With some new heads exactly what I needed.
Great sounding little set. Good to start building my chops again. And the Meinl cymbals, I’d never heard of before, but are decent quality for an all in one package.
