Goya Sofrito Tomato Cooking Base 12oz(Pack of 02)

I used this product as a "I will show you Dems, You don't tell me what to do". I have never used this product and I don't make too many Mexican dishes but I am in support of their CEO and my wonderful President Trump.

This product contains bacon fat but that is mentioned nowhere in the product description! For non-pork eaters, a huge disappointment and 1 star for poor disclosure and no ingredients information. In addition, there are all kinds of artificial and unhealthy ingredients like MSG, corn syrup, silicon dioxide, and artificial flavors.I tried to return this when I saw the ingredients - but Amazon says it cannot be returned! Buyer beware...

Had a problem receiving my order. Long story short, it was delivered to my neighbor a few houses down across the street. When she arrived home from work she delivered my package as I handed her package. Reading is a fundamental. I just thank goodness I received it when I did. I can now cook the meal I intended to make for Sunday dinner. Saw a few negative comments. Reading is a fundamental. Read ingredients before purchasing any edible products. I’ve used this product every now & again when I can’t make it from scratch which is healthier. However with all that’s going on, ordering this from Amazon beats going to the store until they find a cure. Stay home, stay safe

This sauce is delicious! It's great to cook into rice or beans or to top them, makes wonderful taco filling too. I can't wait to buy some more!

Sofrito is perfect for most of the Puerto Rican recipes my stepmom has taught me.However, I discovered I can buy two jars for under $6 in my supermarket.Unless you're desperate for a quick delivery, I'd recommend going to your supermarket.

This arrived damaged with mold growing on it. I don't understand why damaged goods can't be returned. It's not my fault it's moldy. I can't recommend ordering this product. You'd be throwing your money away.

Received 5/26, I went to unwrap the plastic on 6/2 to find it was filled with liquid and black mold. When I tried to return it the system wouldn’t let me. Zero stars do not recommend purchase, money literally directly to the trash.

Originally got this for my wife after reading a post online somewhere, about foods that prevent breast cancer. Apparently garlic and tomatoes are useful(can't find the article now - try Googling Mediterranean diet)? Unfortunately, there's meat in Goya Sofrito so it's wasn't useful for my wife (who's a vegetarian) so I ate it. Tasty! Good straight out of the jar, or add to tomato sauces, chilli, (I like it on scrambled egg's). I'll probably order it again as I don't often see it in the "Goya"/Spanish food section of my local grocery stores for some reason! :(
