This peeler is substantial in weight, has a great hand hold, sharp and easily peeled a slippery eggplant. This peeler feels like a luxury gift to myself. I may have found a go to gift for wedding showers.

I had the same basic potato peeler for 20+ years, then mysteriously lost 3 in 6 months. I hated all of them for different reasons. I took a chance on this pair, and I'm glad I did.First, they are beautiful. Second, they feel great...hefty but not heavy and so well balanced that holding them is effortless. Finally, they are very sharp and take the barest minimum of peel off the vegetable.I grew up accustomed to the stick style of peeler, and this one works quite well, but the Y-shaped one is a game-changer.Did I mention that they're sharp? Mind your fingers and nails when using these peelers...don't ask me how I know.

This is the cream of the crop of vegetable peelers! I’ve tossed away so many cheap plastic peelers that it was kind of a thrill to get one that was so sleek and sturdy. Expensive, but worth it!
