Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay in Ireland Paperback – January 1, 1999

I like using Sawday's books because his team writes the reviews.I've found other travel guides accept lodging descriptions submitted by the owners.The first thing I look for in book that recommends lodging is the owner/managerattitude towards his/her guests. If there's no mention of this I go onto the next entry.What you won't find in this book are inexpensive lodging.

This compilation is not overly inclusive nor is it too limited. A sensible price range is represented, as well as a good variety of different style lodgings (Farmhouse B&B, Guest Houses, Castles, etc.) These are the places you want to stay in while visiting Ireland. Descriptions of the rooms, furnishings, views, history and proprietors are succinct and accurate. Cross-reference with other guides and use Sawday's recommendations as a stamp of approval -- you won't go wrong.

I have looked at a number of places before my trip to Ireland and I am sure that I will pick outa few for my 14 day visit.
