The description states "Do not expose open flame. Low setting or indirect heat only." And the package indicates a limit of 500 degrees F - a temperature easily reached by most BBQ units, gas or charcole. Yet the photos show these being used on what appears to be a gas Weber-style BBQ. This leaves a lot of uncertainty. I've seen other products that say they are good up to 700 degrees F.I will probably resolve that uncertainty by limiting the use of these for low heat things and not use them when doing seared meats.

My husband uses these regularly to grill fish and veggies. He says they grill the same as the "grill mats" we bought from Amazon, but because they are silicone, are healthier. I especially appreciate that they are much easier to wash in soapy water as much of the fluids drip through and as a result there's very little crusty substance to clean off. I folded them once and the edging came loose, so now I store them vertically with my cookie sheets after drying overnight.

Love, love, love them. Food never falls through the grill plates, great for veggies and easy clean!! Put hot soapy water in the sink, submerge mesh grill mat in the hot water, walk away and 10 minutes later they are clean and ready. Rinse in clear water, roll in an old towel and they are ready to put back on the grill to use again at a later date.

The instructions state not to use on open flames and yet, the promo talks about using on gas, electric and charcoal grills...two of which have open flames. Have not used as yet...will when I have more time to deal with any problems. Till then, wish instructions were more accurate.

Used these to cook bacon on a pellet grill and it turns out fantastic. No sticking, no issues with getting burned, cleans up easily. I only gave four stars because the tape or whatever material the manufacturer used to wrap the edges with didn't adhere properly and there's multiple areas where its coming up off the mesh. It doesn't affect the cooking, but I expect it to eventually come off the mesh completely over time. I like the nice finished edge it provide along the perimeter of the mat.

It's in the write up and I missed it. But these can't be exposed to open flame. Not sure how many grills "never" produce flare ups or flames. So I don't see these as useful at all. Returning them.

Used all summer (2018). First the outside banding came off, then the silicone fibers began fraying. Even more, hard to clean. Would NOT buy this again - well perhaps at 1/3 the price.

One of the most amazing products ever. I LOVE all kinds of grilled fish and especially catfish. But catfish is so delicate it always falls apart on the grill.. for me anyway. With this baby, never again. And it doesn't mess with that grilled flavor that we all love either. Just get this. Go... get it!
