If you purchase this make sure you pick up a good powered USB 3.0 hub or it may not even power up or be recognized. Also Intel Realsense only works for Intel processors it would not work on my AMD workstation but was fine on the Intel one for the Realsense feature.

I used this camera with 3D System's Sense software to do 3D Scanning. Works perfectly for humans and small objects.

I bought this to enable Windows Hello by facial recognition. It's a cheaper alternative to the BlasterX Senz3d and has the same hardware. I did get it to work, but it required a little extra effort. In the end, I installed the Intel drivers which did not properly recognize for Hello. I then downloaded the BlasterX Senz3d drivers from Creative Labs website. After installing them, it worked like a champ. I have had the drivers get overwritten once by an autoupdate from Intel, but reinstalling the BlasterX drivers quickly fixed the problem.
