The best BBQ grill I’ve ever had/used. Also assembled by “Amazon’ on delivery
I had a Weber grill before. I thought I loved it because it was the most durable/ reliable grill. I gave it to a friend and it is still working after 30 years,. But when I got this, I realized that there is much more than reliability with this grill. The old Weber temperature was un-even. It was a 3 burner unit where the burners are layer out front to back verses left and right on this. Also, a fire flare up would result from the grease.(Our kids brought this for our house warming gift.) We asked for the blue Genesis with natural gas with a side burner. It also has a searing burner. We liked the look of color, our old one was red. The color coating on Weber grills are great and we didn’t seem the need to get stainless.First thing, the temperature is almost perfectly even on the grill. It is slightly not as hot towards the very front. It may be due to wind or me opening the cover often. Also, the flareup management as Weber claims is true. You can get a flame occasionally when grease hit the bars, but it does not spread nor go out of control. When it happens with the cover down, you would hardly know it and the meat does not get ruined from occasional flare ups . Finally, the searing feature is superb. I have been making perfectly seared steaks with this grill. I did not buy the smart one with a Weber temperature probe with I fear that I will burn the probe often as with our old grill. Replacement probes costs more than an inexpensive complete temperature probes from Amazon. With better flame flareup control, I wonder if my fear was warranted. The Genesis does not seem much bigger than the Spirit series but it is. Also, the top rack is twice as big when extended. Add to the fact that the old one had most of the heat on the right side, I found I could cook twice as much now.I have not tried the grilling accessories. You can spend quite a bit on them. One possibility negative comment is, I can’t seem to see the flame in daylight to determine how high or if the flame is even lite.If I knew the new Webers was this much better, I would have replaced my old Weber sooner. If you have an old Weber with the knobs along the right side, don’t hesitate to get this.We also had the grill delivered, assembled and moved into place by “Amazon’s” contractor for free. I think it normally costs $100. They did a nice job BUT the darn thing was very heavy. They assembled it on their truck and then moved to our deck. They had a very hard time carrying up the narrow steps due to the weight. I think they did bend the back stand cover slightly, I bent it back the best I could. We accepted it and did not complained to Amazon/Weber. If it really bothered us, we would contact Amazon/Weber, we didn’t want to deal with the hassle requesting a new back panel. I’m not sure if I would use their service again but it did save me time quite a bit of time based on what I saw in the manual. They did not hook it to the gas, they are not allowed to. Our gas was already setup with a quick release so it was a simple plug in. I did double check for leaks as described in the manual which the assembler could not.

Power House Grill - Does it all!
This grill is nicer than I could of imagined. It’s very high quality, cooks like a professional kitchen grill and looks beautiful too. I love the ability to switch the grill grates out with Weber-made options. I also got the Weber crafted flat top grill which is great for grilling smash burgers.Shipping this item is risky. It’s a large and very heavy box. Mine came bang up after being stuck at an Amazon shipping facility for 3 weeks. The rubber bumpers on the lid that help the lid close softly we’re damaged during shipment. Weber customer service was quick to send out replacement parts free of charge. Amazon was zero help with the damaged parts or the delayed shipment (even though it was hand delivered by an Amazon truck).

This grill is HOT!
I got this grill to 700 degrees in less than 20 minutes. It will burn through a lot of propane. Fortunately, I have it plumbed into my 50 gallon bulk tank on my site. I purchased the griddle and seasoned it well, now I cook like a pro. Easy to grill 9 burgers at a time with 9 sausages.Assembly took close to 4 hours, but it was worth it. If you can assemble IKEA furniture, you can assemble this.Looking forward to a great summer.

Stainless steel shows rust after 2 weeks and design makes a great den for critters
I finally replaced my old 30 year old Weber with a new S-335. It cooks everything perfectly. There are however 2 disappointing design flaws. There are 2 large openings to the underneath cabinet area that allow critters such as raccoons, foxes and rats to enter and make a mess of the grease catch tray. Weber should have included a mesh panel to block critter access. More disappointing is I paid extra for the stainless steel version and after just 2 weeks I can see surface rust blemishes despite keeping it covered when not in use.In doing some research I read Weber is using a poorer quality stainless than its competitors. Had I known this I probably would have purchased a differ brand as I live near the coast.
