Great for Odyssey workshops
I teach Spontaneous regional workshops for Odyssey of the Mind, and it can be easy to lose track of time on a problem. I don't have a second "timer" judge, so I just set the time on this and circulate around the teams. They can look at the clock at any time and see how much time remains for their solution. (and many of them learn how to read an analog clock in the process!)I worked in a photo darkroom in the '70's, and I remember the GraLab we had on the enlarger. I got the white-face version for the classroom. It's high-quality and "time's up" is unmistakable and accurate. We don't lose track of time.I'm very happy with it.

Stopped working after less than 1 year in service
I work in an industrial lab where we had several of these for 5+ years before one bit the bullet. This one lasted less than 1 year in service and its toast. Unfortunately, there is no way to return the item at this point and I will be looking at other laboratory equipment suppliers for these timer switches.I do not recommend these and suggest you look elsewhere for similar timer switches if you plan to use it regularly.

Best Timer Available
A really great timer which I use as a shut-off for a broiler oven. No forgetting and having over cooked and burned food. This is the third one which I have purchased over the years, but it seems to have a very annoying problem that the previous ones did not. When it is switched on but not timing, the unit hums like it has a short in the gear mechanism. I am hoping this is not a prelude to an early death.

Quality control is horrible
Horrible quality... The two hands interfere with each other during normal operations and randomly stop from rotating which could cause major issues if you are timing an experiment. Built quality really bad if you cannot even check for the main shaft is normal to the plane of the timers causing the two hands to interfere and contact during normal operations.. I would not buy it again. Or if I buy - I would get it on ebay (old models work just fine).

Lasted just under 9 months - no longer what it once was as a brand
This used to be a top of the line timer. Now multiple timers by Gralab are failing within a year of purchasing; and there is no support or warranty to cover it. Yes they got a premium for the timer I used to love, but i will never order Gralab again

A great product worth the price. Seriously!!
This Ian a truly GREAT product that delivers as promised in every aspect. I use this as a segment timer for a syndicated radio show and it just works as promised! I became familiar with Hra-Lab products in the high school. Photo lab. Rock solid reliable still.

This is the perfect kitchen timer
This is the perfect kitchen timer. It is sturdy and easy to use. Its buzzer can be heard upstairs and down, and it keeps going until you check your food. Then you turn it off. The little whimpy timers go "ding" and if you miss it, your next alarm just might be the smoke from your charcoal pie! This baby does the job and takes no prisoners. You don't need to stay in the kitchen, you'll hear it when it calls unless you're stone deaf. It is very accurate, too. Really good purchase. We are glad you carry such an appropriate U.S.A. made product. Thank you.
